Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

@texdawg well said. College should be a time for a young man to “reinvent” himself and Evans should get the opportunity to do so. I for one am excited for him, and we all know Kirby will give him the shot but won’t hesitate to keep him in line while doing it
Always a voice of reason. Thanks for making this board a great place, Tex. You’re a DGD in my book.
CFB Quotes is as fake as they come. This is the guy who made up the story about George Pickens and his high school friend and claimed that friend was mentally challenged. He is a Florida fan and we all know what sore losers they have been in the season and since they didn't do as well as they thought they would on signing day. They Vols who our quoting this guy as fact are delusional.
@SoFL_Dawg @texdawg love what you both said...
At this point I think there may be a trust issue on both sides. I do believe Dell will keep him if Kirby allows. A new fresh start would do wonders for him. I hear good things about him personally.
I don't know what happened today but if its the phone I can understand it being a problem for this current generation. Locked or not they contain these kids whole lives. Its what they use to get hype before games, private messages (what if they win and Kimber or Milton text "Good game man cant wait for you to get here at UGA")... I get it and I get the authorities side as well. This may be the best divorce for both parties.
Good points
I wonder if you’re on to something with that. Maybe he was trying to protect his phone to protect text messages or something.
Just speculating
The phone thing makes sense. Just speculation of course.....but certainly makes sense
That's exactly the reason I wrote what I did earlier. Not understanding the phone in today's culture is what made this look ridiculous in my ignorant of facts perspective. I know Mr Evans has some growing up to do, but it sure sounds like the coaching staff there does as well.
Evans using said phone and moving forward to the next chapter already per his Instagram story...
@SoFL_Dawg We can still complain about recruiting THIS season, right? /s
Seriously though, Wha dafuq iz goin own, mane? Seems like every time the smoke gets hot between Evans and UGA, he gets into trouble. Surely not a coincidence is it? His coach wouldn't be so anti-Georgia to where he would provoke Evans would he? Geesh
I'm not gonna worry about the other 2 uncommitted big boys til you tell me to worry.
Go Dawgs!
If he has signed a letter of intent, aren’t both sides bound unless a coaching change takes place?
I'd prefer not to have more smoke come out now but man it seems like someone has it out for this kid whenever he shows some Georgia love. He's a HS kid who has probs with authority..though to be fair to him it seems like that could be just a certain authority. I'll hold off on condemning him.
Kid's going to play at a bigtime program, why not in Athens, Georgia for our staff? Seems like that gives him a better shot at success than a lot of his options and if he sees that then that's a good sign for him. Gotta trust the staff.
If Washington signed with Oregon, why has he gotten 3 CBs to UGA just today?
@BarkingDawg
Current OL Room
That's a total of 14. 1 short against my ideal of 15 (1, 2 and 3rd team).
Thomas and Wilson have already declared and Hayes is out of eligibility thus 4 spots are already open.
I also think Cleveland declares (especially as he appears to be having academic issues) and Shaffer will either get a medical DQ or enter the portal due to depth issues. That leaves us 6 short. Additionally Kindley may opt to declare but even so I can see 6 being needed at minimum.
The only sure returning starter is Hill so hopefully no others enter the portal and we need Jones and SVPG to sign in February otherwise we will risk the 2020 OL being similar to the 2019 WR where we are relying largely on unproven but talented players with limited options although I have high confidence in Hill, Mays and Salyer.
What’s going in with Washington and Ringo? Holy moly I have some catching up to do
