Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Greatest cartoon pet of all times.
I thought about listing some choices, but there SOOOO many out there. I figured I would leave it up to everyone's imagination. It can either be TV or print.
So, I will go first. Unfortunately I have to take the easy way out, Scooby Doo is the man (I mean dawg).
In my humble opinion he is the G.O.A.T.

I was a fan of Underdog.
What are the parameters? What does one want in a pet?
Brain from inspector gadget could be really helpful. Lassie always seemed to be around bad stuff, but could alert for help
or do you want one like Garfield who’s just going to make you laugh (occasionally) and eat all your food?
Quick response is Snoopy
Bro Snoopy hands down
Hobbs from Calvin and Hobbs
Big Dino fan here
Fritz the Cat
I’ve never seen the animated version of Lassie.
Perry the platypus
This. Hobbes, and it’s not even close (well maybe Snoopy, but Hobbes still beats him running away).
Not mentioned yet:
Otto (Beetle Bailey)
Bullet (Snuffy Smith)
Clifford (Emily Elizabeth)
Brian (Peter Griffin)
Pluto (Mickey Mouse)
Hobbes, seconded by Bloom County’s Bill the Cat. Acckkk!
Pluto, because he’s a dog owned by a mouse, Mickey Mouse, who has a dog friend, Goofy.
#2: Snoopy, well because he’s Snoopy.
