Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

@tfk_fanboy I'd say that you indeed have actually missed something here sir.
Not all schools return this week. TAMU start 13th.
He has answered this about a dozen times over the last 20 pages.
I believe classes actually start tomorrow, and Georgia has not started announcing our early enrollies yet.
That being said, even though I still hope that Evans makes it here, I can't honestly believe that he will be in the class anymore, BBBUUUTTTTT if he were to be in the class I think the it would be done quietly a la Monty Rice.
I think he missed his sarcasm sign.
I'm over the whole Evans thing but what I'm concerned about is the timing. I looked it up bc I didnt know but his hs won the state championship 31-17 on 12/21/19. He supposedly found out the night before the UA game which was 1/1/20. So was it the Northshore coach not telling the UGA staff about whatever the incident was until right before the UA game or was it UGA staff that withheld letting Evans know their decision until the 11th hour to keep him from having a chance to talk to other schools?
Don’t think we will ever know the whole story about how it all went down last week. Might hear one side but that might not be the most accurate side.
Celebrating the players who ARE on campus today. So far - have seen social media posts of MIlton, Beck, Brinson, Robinson & Burns inside the Tate Center today.
NOW we are gettin' to the get-down!
I think UGA released him from his LOI, so he would go back in the pool to sign with whoever he wants on NSD, which is the first (?) Wednesday in February.
He would have plenty of time to talk to/see other schools. I would think any discussion would be with schools he’d already given strong consideration to (LSU, TAMU) and not brand new ones.
Nothing to see here, just getting rid of this quote
Don't think it is that simple. The NCAA has to take action on it. Plus there are contact period rules (whatever) which limit when the schools can talk to him.
Even a notional timeline from the more knowledgeable would be interesting to me. Oh, I said to me.
@MrTy In all honesty this thread is the biggest (I mean HUGE) that I have ever seen in the DawgNation forum, and I have now been here for over 3 years. It is pretty hard to sift through the currently 1139 pages (on my browser) and it maybe even more than that.... and everything is currently on the topic of Zach Evans anyway. I would just like to see it somewhere. Thanks.
I'm pretty sure he was on track to be an EE in college. That's what I meant by potentially keeping him from talking to other schools. NSD prospects don't go through spring practice/bowl practice
Assuming he has been released (or his NLI was rejected by the NCAA) but is still an EE the schools can contact him starting 7 days before their classes start for the spring quarter.
(c) December 1 through February 1, 2020 [except for (1) and (2) below]: Six in-person off-campus contacts per prospective student-athlete shall be permitted during this time period with not more than one permitted in any one calendar week (Sunday through Saturday) or partial calendar week: Contact Period
(1) December 15, 2019: Quiet Period
(2) December 16, 2019, through January 16, 2020 (see Bylaw 13.02.5.5.2) [except for (i) through (iii) below]: Dead Period
(i) The seven days immediately before the first day of classes of the institution's second academic term that are not part of the contact period (applicable only to prospective student-athletes who intend to enroll midyear): Quiet Period
(ii) December 15-21, 2019, for National Service Academies:* Contact Period
(iii) January 10-12, 2020, for National Service Academies: Quiet Period
Quiet period allows face to face contact on campus
Both TAMU and LSU semester starts 1/13 so he can visit their campus' starting today.
To whom it may concern: So the last signing day... February 5th. That is 30 days away, and it is on a Wednesday, it is the "old school" signing day, right?? IF our beloved Georgia Bulldogs get the ink that day on Broderick Jones, and SVP both, then does UGA finish with the #1 signing class for 2020????
Current #3 score includes both so it depends on who else they get (if any). Also depends who Clemson/Alabama add (if any).
Burns is gonna need about 4500 calories a day... I hope he's ready to eat 8 times a day. He looks like a little kid compared to the rest of them
I think the you line any of those four gentlemen up with DW and they all would look like kids.
