Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Crucial nuggets
ESPN just made it official. Jamie Newman is a Dawg!
Hell yeah
I will wait until Monday to go all in on this news, but if true...
here is the link
His play at 1:11 against Syracuse is something to watch a few times. He runs with his shoulders down behind the line and then shows speed for a TE. He runs like an RB. Give us another TE transfer, Eli proved his worth.
I reserve the right to be excited about this at the moment if only because of all the "fun" we have been having at recruiting and the portal. If this is solid like I'm hoping then this is huge, Dawgs! Respect my decision...
Sincerely,
A tired Dawg fan
What was Wake Forest running on offence? The spread? Air raid? He has great timing and patience. And he is smart! Switches the ball to the side the defense isnt on, runs out of bounds when needed, and is 1st in throwing into tight coverage! Ok, I changed my mind! LET'S GO DAWGS!!!
If we add that kid plus Washington learning the ropes already means our TE position is drastically improved since last year. Last year when JJ was kicked off the team we had no true go-to WR. This year we have 2 plus a highly talented Freshman to throw to. We naturally took a slight step back with Swift to Zuess (not huge but a little) but I believe our run game is even better with a real threat to keep it on a read option or scramble for a first down.
I went back and rewatched and you're right. Some of those runs had a Knowshon Moreno feel to it.
I’m usually a pessimist guys....but go watch Newman’s tape. He is a real athlete and can throw well. He was the only player on Wake Forests offense. They had what amounted to Prather Hudson at RB and one decent WR when they finished out the year. Clemson’s game plan was attack Newman and ignore everyone else. They didn’t beat the teams they did because their other players were good. Wakes players outside Newman and one of the WRs looked terrible. Newman was running for his life against Clemson and was the one beating the teams they did beat.
Oh I've watched and I'm sold. Can't wait til G-Day.
Who really knows if he’s 6’3” 219 or 6’4” 235.... will that be released??
