We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

As in when/if Coley leaves.
How can you go wrong hiring someone named Buster.
Wow!! As a kid my mom bought all of our (4kids) shoes at Buster Brown.
Thanks for reminding me of that.
Let's not forget Buster Crabbe. Olympic gold medalist swimmer and actor. Tarzan in the 50's and 60's.
And Flash Gordon
You're right @pocoyo. How could I forget that.
That's a great graphic. If Buster Brown and Tige (the bull terrier dog) were more current, it would be great to morph them to Kirby and Uga.
Not too flattering I'm afraid. Be careful what you ask for...
AHHHHHHHH SAVIOR OF THE UNIVERSE
If the whole football coach thing doesn’t work out, Kirby could make a killing doing live appearances as the Quaker Oats guy...
Thankfully, the whole football coach thing seems to be working out just fine.
I’m looking forward to see how we do with a running QB as opposed to a pocket QB. I know we’re looking to sign another running back but it looks like we’re getting one in the form of a QB. I personally think its great. It will make us a triple threat in the run game. All this depends on him winning the starting job. I know the season just ended but man I can’t wait till next season.
...or a pocket passer with wheels.
So, back to the OPs topic...Monken appears to be quite the hire to me. I looked back at his last college OC job at OK St. His offenses were top ten in passing, but also pretty strong on running, too. He wasn't one dimensional. He has a long history coaching WRs, and he has coached QBs some. His time at SM was impressive, too. He started with a 1-11 team and was 9-5 in his last year, three years on. Again, his passing offense was outstanding and his running game was strong.
The more I read, the more I like this guy. I think he will attack defenses ruthlessly at their weakest points. That's exactly what was missing from Kirby's first four years. I also think our WRs will get a lot of attention and they will excel next year.
It's funny because Richt was a great offensive mind who was hit and miss on defense. Kirby is a defensive genius who has struggled with offense. I think Monken is going to bring that same level of excellence to the '20 offense. We have some holes to fill, especially at tackle, but count me very optimistic for 2020. Kirby has identified the problems and taken the tough steps to fix them.
