Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

It doesn't take long to see where our dawgnation members stand politically.
I'll go ahead and state that I'm a devout born again christian who is as conservative as anyone you know.
But some of my closet friends are very liberal. We usually avoid topics we don't agree with.....but I also choose to not get carried away when we do disagree. That's the choice I make....doesn't mean I'm right.
What I do know is that no amount of arguing will change what I believe or what they believe.
I get my news from conservative sources. I don't like the liberal media sources. But I also know that they both spin it in ways that benefit them. It just so happens that "Fox news" spins it in way that is more pleasant to my point of view.
I realize that if conservatives always got their way..... there would probably be some very important social programs not available to those that need it. And if liberals always got their way... we couldn't afford life.
So, if you love the Dawgs as much as I do. If you cry when they lose the national championship or cry when they beat ND for the NC. Then we are friends.
I'm passionate in what I believe..... but I will respect those with different beliefs. That's my choice.
By the way...... the ultra conservative christian school where my kids attend and where I've coached and still coach softball......just closed for two weeks.
So there are many conservatives that believe Covid 19 is a big problem.
"I haven't read anyone saying it's not a concern." I've given you an example of a prominent pundent saying it's not a concern.
@Bankwalker has said it's not serious several times.
@pgjackson as well
Let's make this thread fun again.
How far does your tolerance go? Anyone can say anything and not expect to receive criticism or rebuke? You're using a strawman. I obviously don't see myself as the supreme authority on what's dangerous. I didn't just get concerned out of thin air. The WHO, CDC, scientists, and public health experts are all concerned about this virus. Arguing against them and trying to convince others to disregard them is obviously dangerous given what's at stake.
Thanks. Good post.
I've posted several times what I'm doing. No one is advocating to live in fear.
Hey, y'all... I hope I can either agree with, argue with, celebrate with, or commiserate with ALL of you as we follow our Dawgs in the coming months. I hope you'll all be well.
Hilarious to me how some see a virus as a personal attack on their political beliefs.
And how non professionals use historical stats for an entire year’s worth of the flu to compare to a month’s worth of COVID-19 stats and can draw concrete conclusions. 🤷♂️🙄
Don't remember saying it's not serious. I think i said it's being blown out of proportion and used examples of other pandemics and epidemics that received far less attention and public panic.
