I know we don’t talk much baseball around here, but Emerson Hancock went sixth overall to the Mariners last night.

Happy for him, achieved his dream
Have fun in Seattle!
Andrew Thomas went 1st round too, and I assume Anthony Edwards will. How many other colleges can say they have accomplished this?
Not many. I believe I saw a graphic with that somewhere a while back, I wish I could remember where I saw it.
Here's from @Kconnorriley article a year ago...
"It isn’t uncommon for a school to produce a first-round draft pick in the three sports in the same year. Oklahoma did it in 2018, with Baker Mayfield, Kyler Murray and Trae Young all going in the top 10 of the NFL, MLB and NBA drafts. Going back to 2009 it is has happened four other times, with North Carolina pulling it off the twice. Kentucky is likely to accomplish it this year, assuming the mock draft are accurate on where basketball stars Tyler Herro, Keldon Johnson or PJ Washington might land."

I'm happy for Hancock but it's also a slight bummer because we were on the brink of doing something that had NEVER been done before, and that was having a top 5 pick in all three major sports in the same year: Thomas, Hancock, and Ant-Man.
Emerson was mocked to the Blue Jays for a while, not sure why they didn't take him. The other Georgia pitcher who's name escapes me at the moment was supposed to go first round but slipped down the ranks
