sig is doing great things and is a great gun. My understanding is they won the contract with the army because they pretty much gave the guns away for free. It was something like around 200 a unit
For sure have some makers I use. Just never enjoyed iwb or appendix larger guns. Always preferred pocket carry or a shoulder holster under a jacket in the winter. Thanks
Original pythons? No pics?
Keeping my eye out now that colt has addressed the issues on the new python
I still would like an original one day
I own many hand guns . I currently CC glock 43x , bedside is glock 19x .
Just now getting into bows. Bought an older Mathews switchback that is currently getting some new strings. I can already tell I am hooked
always wanted to get into fly fishing. LOVE bass fishing more than any of my other hobbies
If you love Bass fishing that much then you certainly owe it to yourself to give it a try. Word of warning though. Very easy to get into and impossible (for me at least) to get out of. That first good Bass you take with a fly rod on top water will set the hook on more than just the fish.
I'll still on occasion use conventional tackle, (and I'm certainly not above using bait) but 90% of my fishing is on fly. Got to be blowing pretty hard to put the fly rod up.
Lord have mercy that is a gorgeous firearm
edit: firearm(s)
JRT- I talked about different shotgun gauges and what the numbers mean, along with brands, barrels, re-loading styles, shells/shot, etc. Can you (or someone) offer a similar overview for handguns?
Examples of unfamiliar terminology: slide, frame, optics, striker system.
Examples of unknown acronyms: GSP, SOT, FN, EDC, XDS, XDM, LCR.
And then the numbers... I understand the basic idea is the caliber of the weapon, so I know what 9mm means, and I know what a .357 is compared to a .45. But what about 10c, 17, 19x, 509, 1911?
And if someone refers to 37, 39, 42, or 43 are all of those just straight caliber references? (If so it's interesting to me that there are so many options.)
Most of what you are referring to is the name of the weapon and not it’s caliper. Like a Ford F-150. Made by ford and the model is the 150
FN 509 as an example. The gun is made by FN and the 509 is a specific model made by FN.
glock 43 is a gun made by glock and 43 is the model
all of these are offered in different calibers
EDC is typically an acronym for “every day carry”
xds, xdm, lcr are back to specific models of guns.
Excellent! Thank you Pharm!
I thought this was gonna be a basketball thread. Maybe it should be called GUNS AMERICA GUNS
