Never had a problem since I was 8.
I’ve seen 27 yr old guys get scope bit. It’s not just the young ones that have to learn or get reminded
@texdawg Hitting a 2' x 2' target at 900 yards, most impessive. Was that open sight or with a scope? Although at that range, I doubt it makes much of a difference.
Related, I had a friend who served in the Marines and during his training he could consisently hit a 6 ft. Silhouette at a 1000 meters with an M-14 -- open sight. He attributed some of that to his superior vision; alleged to be better than 20/20.
Just before the introduction of the M-16, as I understand it.
Kgs
Not only a scope.....but a very good one. But the kid can really shoot.
Daughter is a good shot as well.
I have a friend with a Nightforce scope. I refuse to look through it. Scared I’ll have to buy one if I do.
I still have the scar...
I have heard many a Mathews man wish he had never sold his switchback.
I am a PSE guy, but it's hard to beat a good Mathews bow. You will enjoy it.
And yes, it is addictive.
Oh my my
I shoot a Hoyt Vector Turbo. Thinking about getting a Matthews. Really just want a shorter ATA than what I have, but I like the Hoyt and shoot it well. I’m going to give saddle hunting a try this year, too.
I also have two trad bows I built out of old whitetail and Bear compound risers. Looking to take my first deer with one of those this year, but I’m scared the big boy will walk out when I’m only hoping for a doe and just have a string with no sights.
When I find something I enjoy hobby wise I usually don’t do the dip the toe in water thing and just get obsessed. I purchased this old Mathews bow after some research... also feel like I got a decent deal on it. Going to try and make the cams work. I don’t think I was measured correctly, but if I was, I am 1/2 inch off and was told Mathews run 1/2 in long. We will see. I figured for the money and see if I dive deep in bow shooting like I think I will/have then it’s a good starting point.
just waiting for the shop to be done with it
You’ll buy multiple, don’t do it🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Found out my son was shooting a
Tikka T3X CTR in 6.5 Creedmore.....if that makes sense to anyone...... it doesn't to me.
My buddy swears by Tikka rifles
Manufactured by Sako. Great gun and super value for the quality.
About 10 years ago, I got to shoot this .50 at about 800 yards.
Thanks to the OP for putting this on the forum! I just bought a Sig m400 Tread Coil this past weekend and considered getting a thread going on here for like-minded guys.
I've got a bunch of guns and a few bows. Have been shooting the Hoyt CRX for at least 5 years now and love it, so haven't felt a need to replace it (prior to it, I had a Matthews Reezen and that thing was terrible - although I hear it was an exceptionally bad bow for Matthews).
My go-to shotgun is the browning A5. I love it for ducks and geese. I use the G43 as my EDC as well (which is a lot more frequently these days).
But back to the newest purchase - the Sig M400 - this is my first AR. I used to be of the mind that I didn't need one of them until recent events woke me up to the fact that there is nothing better for home defense, and home defense is something every American should make a priority. Pistols are fun, but when the police don't show until after the deed is done (if they even show at all), you want a long gun to keep you more accurate in the heat of the moment and to avoid shooting through a bunch of walls. A gun is a gun - they are all dangerous if put in the wrong person's hands. I realized that discriminating against AR's but supporting pistols is illogical. Im planning to get to the range this week and put a bunch of 5.56 through it... can't wait
I need an AR but prices are out of control right now.
Are they? I haven’t looked. I have several I need to thin out. Guess I’ll check out ODT later.
Haha well you can make some bank. They’re hard to find in stock. Guy in ARMSlist last night had a lightly used stock Ruger AR556 listed first $850 and he will probably get close to that. They’re $700 at Cabela’s new.
