Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

I'll know more about breathing after today's practice.
When first worn they are a big distraction. Your breathing is restricted. But like most of everything you get acclimated to it and its fine.
Hope you're right. Believe you are right.
My son just told me they are awful. Very hard to breathe in.
Our bunch is struggling a bit, but I stood on a sideline and watched a football game Friday.
My 16 yr old daughter praised the normalcy of it. It was hardly normal, with most of the bleachers actually removed. But it was football, and awesome...
Seems like the mouth guards will cause the eye pro to fog up especially when it starts getting cold.
I wear glasses and every time I put on my mask I fog up.
Ive heard rain-x works to help that. Haven’t tried it myself though.
Well.....no more splash guards or visors on helmets.
Player on my son's team was sent to the hospital by ambulance on Wednesday for lack of oxygen.
Player is doing OK now.....but it got serious for a little while.
Turns out that athletes really need to breathe.
I thought they had little slits in them for ventilation but I guess not.
They do not.
And there have been more game cancellations in Texas this week because of covid
Younger, but my kid is 9. We have been practicing since July. Have had a jamboree and a normal scrimmage game. No protocols have been required. So far no issues. Was worried when school started back up, but it’s been fine. He wears a visor to provide some protection. I’m actually amazed at how much spit and gook is on his visor after 1 practice.
Obviously there are outliers, but I was told by a Covid Specialist that worked with Pences team that the chances of getting Covid outside is very slim.
It will hopefully dawn on us how silly all this is when you couple the low risk to kids, the low spread outdoors--especially in the heat--and the greater risk of some kind of acute respiratory episode for lack of oxygen.
KISS: Keep it simple ****; get back to normal.
My wife was severe, but has been upgraded to moderately compromised so we have been very cautious. We don’t do anything indoors with groups of people, but my son played baseball all summer now football with no issues. My expert friend just said don’t be **** about it and you’re fine.
I found drops that can be used even on the coatings of Rx glasses. So far, I've had about a week with no fogging. I knew similar products existed from skiing (which should also work for football visors) but knew anti-reflective coatings could get fiddly.
Full disclosure when i saw this thread title i thought it would be talking about a face shield attachment for visors for Kirby on Game Day
