- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.
Keep Barbershop Open
Boy, I’m certain to get a lot of DV’s for posting “in the middle” here, but going to do so, none the less. @SoFL_Dawg and @texdawg , I certainly appreciate both of you on this board, but I’ll add my opinion, just because I can….
Fromm is and always will be a DGD imo. I really hate to give (and let me emphasize “hate”) credit where credit may be due, but I believe Chaney helped Fromm to become the media darling he became. He constructed a game plan that protected Fromm and quite simply made him look a little better (as an overall player, not as a DGD) than he actually was. Coley came in and made NO constructive game plan changes to Fromm’s development. But then again, I was not in the film room, the planning of offensive plays each week or in the huddle when plays were called, but from a logical standpoint, I cannot see Coley sending in the play, ”****, but DO NOT THROW THE BALL TO THE MIDDLE OF THE FIELD.” But I do see where Coley didn’t emphatically change the offensive philosophy either. Opposing defensive coordinators in the SEC saw this as well. His last season, it was TOO obvious Fromm refused to throw over the middle, even if Wolf, DRob or Cook was open. He insisted on throwing outside the hashes.
Fromm will and always will be a DGD imo, but I do think he might have been a little over hyped as an overall player. Go DAWGS!

Why are we still talking / arguing over Jake Fromm... ?
Great point! Just wanted to get my opinion on the board. That's what forums are intended to pursue.
I hope they open the barbershop back up ... after the bleeding stops
Ghost said closed for the night. Relax.
Enough with Fromm. Can we agree that the M’s of this site are a little over zealous? Never seen a whole board put in timeout before... most boards I don't even know who the M’s are and most boards are pretty self policing. Long live both SFD and Tex... truly felt like my parents were fighting today! Silver lining is maybe we will all get two Christmas’
We just all need some football!
True!! We had a baby 3 weeks ago so I’m still in that 6 week dead period so maybe I just have some pent up energy
Congratulations man!
Congratulations!
Best of luck to your new born and the rest of your family... congrats!
Never saw anything in this discussion that was remotely inappropriate or cause for conversation to stop.
Arguments are how people work stuff out. Get your feathers ruffled and your emotions riled up, let it all out, and be done with it.
The whole "Time-out" concept is way too "serenity now" for me...
Thanks everyone!
All good things come to an end...when the race is over, you run another race.
I really hope you aren't bowing out. Respect either way.
Bow out? As long as I have info that’s worth sharing, it’ll be shared.
