Alot of you guys sound SUPER bad. You're such UGA fans that any bad thing has to be false. But literally only one thing on that list cant be proven.
Reese probably did transfer for playing time. And being honest he said a true statement in whats the point of being blocked if its a free year? Honestly not hearing anything is weird but this whole year is weird. So yeah he has a right to complain. People complain when things arent done and if none of you have complained ever then you're amazing.
BUT everyone here is in agreement that Athens Cops are not good. Kearis vouched his claim as he said he was there. (So thats true)...
Lets be honest we ALL know a white kid called Fields that taboo word. But you all do remember that Reese was going to Michigan first and foremost but Fields pulled a variety of guys to UGA and we all know thats a fact. As well as the racist party on campus. (Again Fact)...
Honest question... Who can guys go talk to? When theres a serious issue who can black men go talk to? What will be done to alleviate their worries? Would they be criticized if the information comes out? Is there a solution for racism in 2020? (As a black male I'll let you guys know Fact)...
The only thing that cant be proven is Coach Smart asking him to stay. And being honest most coaches are gonna ask guys to finish out a season vs leaving thats just the nature of coaching. (Unknown as to fact or fiction)...
I read alot of MS vs GA as far as racism. Ummmm they are both racist lol. I mean you're not going alot of places without it honestly. He's from GA he's probably experienced it his whole life so maybe a change of scenery could be good, eye opening, or bad. But thats an experience he has to go through.
yes they are agreeing on the NCAA part but thing is the NCAA and all the conferences is putting up with a pandemic right now . as far as cops go in athens yes they are terrible i’ve personally had a encounter with one up there in the rain when he almost broke my window telling me to stop .. but they are bad cops everywhere who’s know maybe where he just went he might really encounter one that’s fitting his narrative. there is no transfer in the portal or ncaa in the NFL and they not gonna move you just cause you don’t like there cops .
I personally feel that we should all take Otis Reese at his word. Athens Clarke County Police are known for going to the edge and possibly over it at times when dealing with college students, and African Americans are 20% more likely to be pulled over by police.
As far as the racist remarks made to and around him, I have no reason to doubt those as well. People make racially insensitive jokes all the time. They think because it’s a joke and not meant in a harmful way, and no one speaks up about it’s fine.
And I believe him when he says he didn’t feel like he could tell anyone, because none of us know what that young man was going through, and what he was feeling.
I’m sure UGA has counselors in place and things of that nature, but having them available, and feeling comfortable talking with someone about your emotions and your feelings to take advantage of those resources is completely different.
I also know Kirby is putting In real money to try to effect social change. So I don’t think Kirby some heartless football coach either.
So I say we all just wish him well, and hope he has better experience in Oxford.

So he couldn’t talk to Jonas he couldn’t talk to Dell he couldn’t talk to Warren he couldn’t talk to Williams. I think that’s the part people are having a hard time believing, he says there was no one to talk to not I couldn’t bring myself to talk about it. That’s what it is to me, everything else I think is probably true. Except for maybe blocking his transfer, I don’t remember there being anything from UGA blocking Fields, why would they block him?
As another black grad (class of 2017) I can also confirm this.
I love the dawgs but I'd be a liar to say UGA/Athens/ (and on a broader scale Georgia/the south) doesn't have racial issues. I don't enjoy saying that, but it's the truth.

Nevermind, I found it. Due to my recent stint in Dawgnation jail because I have a different political view than those who run this site, I will refrain. All I’ll say is, some of you condone this type of behavior and the “race card” and “police brutality” is the easiest way for them to receive their participation trophy.
I don’t doubt the issues he had with the police. I think we’ve seen and heard enough stories to know they take things way too far.
My question is what does Kirby get out of blocking his transfer? If Kirby told him to he’d give him a free waiver if he stayed the course, why would Kirby go back on his word? I mean at the end of the day, we won’t even play Ole Miss this year. Maybe it’s the SEC transfer rule, but to call CKS out is a horrible look for us. On top of all that, now you have some Sr leaders stepping up and vouching for Otis. Kirby will have to deal with this head on in that locker room and I hope he takes care of it ASAP.
