Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Just curious to see who here among y'all in DawgNation will be in Athens this weekend.
If so - what are your plans? Going to the game? Off-campus tailgate? Bars downtown?

Firing up the grill and stocking the beer fridge at mi casa
Going to the game!
Chillin' and grillin' on the back deck
where are your seats?
our reg tix were in the club, but we didn't want to risk getting 3rd deck tix so we just rolled over 3x points
I don't even know, tbh. Was invited by a long time ticket holder to tag along. Wasn't about to miss the opportunity for a night game in Athens.
My nephew is getting married Saturday. Thank god it's a late kick. Guess i'll have to take the kids home to bed and won't be able to stay for the whole reception.
Nice! Enjoy it for the rest of us!!
We are going up for my daughters Birthday. Spending a long weekend at a rental house milling around town and a dinner at Sea Bear on Friday. we'll get take out for Sat. evening and watch the game at the house. Other than that i'll do what the women want me to do.
They gotta have a TV somewhere there I use to work at the Athens Country Club and I hated working weddings on gamedays (away games bc we shut down on home gamedays for banquets), but when I did I'd always work the lounge bar so I had access to the TV.
One wedding they made us bring in a TV to the reception area so that people could keep up with it.
I've been to two weddings where this happened. Gotta love the South!
I told my husband we couldn’t get married on a Georgia game day. What a crazy thing to do!
My nephew got married last Saturday and when the preacher was blessing dinner he asked God to make sure Georgia won. We all laughed but everyone added on a "please". We found a table sort of off in a corner away from most people and watched the game on a phone leaned up against a candle.
My Ex's brother (Ex BIL) decided to have their wedding on the same day and time as a UGA/ tech game..... I sat through the whole ceremony with an radio earplug in my ear listening to Munson. Funny thing was the Ex BIL was a big UGA fan. His dad, my Ex FIL was a HUGE tech fan. Very Christian wedding, no alcohol at the reception and so forth, but I really had a good time rubbing it in with the FIL after a Dawg victory.
I’m going ... plan on getting to Athens about noon and lunch @ The Grill if open then take a bus Asso on an Athens tour and then across campus down to GA Center to watch some games with beers ... if they are open not sure what’s going to be open anybody know ?
aside - was getting married #2, back yard by the lake , on game day but we scheduled it for after the 3:30 GA/ SC game would be over 7 ish but went to overtime. I told them I’m not coming out until this game is decided, when Dawgs secured it I said let’s go and get this thing done.
getting married in the fall is dumb
Please give us a post-game report on the experience! Really interested to hear how the atmosphere at Sanford is with this capacity model...as it turns out, the red glow might distract from the empty seats (on TV anyway). Also interested if people stick to their assigned seats or start roaming around after kickoff...either way - excited for this game!
Wife & I are heading into town Friday as our daughter's sorority is having a parents weekend (remarkably); we're doing stuff with her over the weekend but she's working at a sports bar (The Office) so we'll be watching the game there with some of her friends/their parents and making her earn her tip 😜
