2nd half observations and overall game...
Combined Georgia QB game stats: 7/28 and 3 interceptions. Pathetic. We're nowhere near an elite status. I'm not convinced Kirby knows what he is doing with QBs. Fields was a missed opportunity, and if Mathis and Bennett are the best we've got then we won't be competitive with the few elite teams for at least a few years. Any QB we play next year will either be inexperienced or average. Daniels must still be injured or limited. We've got a long way to go on offense.
Defense played ok in the 2nd half but still not up to par with all the injuries. Still, the (2) best teams in the SEC dismantled our defense overall so is our defense as good as advertised?
Overall, this entire game was like watching a slow moving train wreck...
I agree, i thought I was the only 1 that remembered that "coaching" nightmare with Bauta lol Known as a running QB and asked to pass repeatedly. This loss ranks right up there with that game. Outcoached on every level
Perfect ending, another interception by our QB's. UGA does not have a QB that should be playing in the SEC.
This all falls on Kirby Dumb, now he will fire another OC, just to handcuff his replacement.
Actually no decent OC will come to UGA now.
Monken will leave, Mathis, Beck and Daniels will be in the portal. The only good thing about this is that Muchamp and Bobo will be fired and come to UGA Way to go Kirby. You got the gang back again...SMH In all seriousness. This was the poorest display of coaching on all levels. The Defense gave up all of those points because no adjustments were made until 2nd half. We gave up 38 points. You can't spot a team 38pts in any game. The D showed up in the 2nd half only allowing 6pts. Had Mark Webb made the int, its a different ball game for the D.
At least they show grit in the midst of trouble. Coaches have to do a better job of putting guys in right position.
Defense gave up so many points cause they stayed on the field all night cause the offense couldn't hold the ball or put points up on the board! This is a question WR/TE recruits should be asking Kirby. How long are you going to run the 3yds and a cloud of dust offense predicated on running the ball? Cause if the QB is only going to throw it 16 times then UGA is not where I want to be!
Just wasting the graduate TE transfer cause we don't have a QB able to toss them the pill! If no JT Daniels then where the hell is Carson Beck?????
