umm no. it is black, so it is an assault rifle. pistol grip means assault rifle. 20 caliber clip with 50 rounds of ammo in the magazine? assault rifle!
my uncle reloads 30-06 so thankfully I can shoot that pretty cheap. but minimal range time lately due to availability and cost
It's been a while since I hunted, but the rule back then was 3 shell max on a 5 shell gun. And I can't remember if that applied across the board for birds, small game or large game. I think I got stopped once or twice by Game & Fish to check if I had my plug in.
Sarcasm I assume. I call ARs SLGs (scary looking guns). That's really what the media is thinking. It looks dangerous, so it must be.
Kinda like hard hits on defense.
looking for Hunting land to lease for me and my son. Would consider a good club as well. Please let me know if you have any or know some one. Sorry to be off topic.
Thank you,
Unfortunately, I lost all of mine in an accident on Lake Hartwell while bass fishing. It was tragic.
Im a 07/08 FFL with an SOT 2. I have a few builds in the works but here are some I’m working on. Shown is an original late war German MG42, RPD, ****, Soviet SG43, Tommy Gun, and some completed AK47 variants. Please excuse the messy shop and garage. These are a few of the build projects I’ll be working on throughout the winter....and no, I don’t have any ammo to spare lol!
That’s legit!
the wife surprised me with this for the hard work remodeling the floors and kitchen.: g43x mos
@brady01 That's interesting. Hunting deer with a .223
My hunting experience was limited to just a few dove in Southern Az, back in the 70's, but I loved shooting in general. Reloading too. My friend and I reloaded ammo for .357, .44 mag., and .45 ACP in pistol; 22-250 and 30-06 in rifle as well as 12 guage.
Conventional wisdom or so I understood it was many deer hunters preferred larger calibers (larger than .22) .270, 30-30, and 30-06, to name a few. Nonetheless, a .223 or any high-powered .22, I'm sure would get the job done.
That 22-250 for example, was basically a 30-06 case necked down to accept a .22 caliber 40 grain bullet, as I recall it. At 4000 fps., well let's just say it possesses some remarkable ballistics. Something along the lines of a shock wave, I can't imagine what that would do to a deer.
So I know the game is on.. but back to the hunting with an AR. Topic.
Yesterday evening as I started to climb down my tree stand I hooked my .300 AAC (Ar) to my rope to let it down to the ground bc I don't like climbing with it. Started it down and as soon as I did my clip on my rope broke. Down goes my gun 30' from my tree.. 😳 I was waiting for it to fire back at me thank God it didn't. But it hit HARD. The hole on the end of the stock was full of dirt. I mean FULL of dirt.
So I got it out today to shoot it and check how bad my scope was off..
It wasn't. Literally fell 30' out of a tree and scope stayed zeroed. Pretty surprising to me...
NEVER move a gun around like that with a round in the chamber. Cmon guys!
I said my clip broke and it fell. I didn't throw it out of the stand on purpose lol
