The Short-sightedness of the NCAA...

Just want to make this point...

Remember that every time you hear about a guy coming back for his 5th year - because Covid took this year from them and they deserve another year - a high school senior is denied the opportunity to play college sports.

They didn’t raise the 85 total scholly limit - which was completely asinine.

They didn’t raise the limit of 13-15 in basketball, either. And levels that don’t have limits are made up of programs with limited scholarships.

And this affects EVERY sport.

So, the Class of 2021 is getting squeezed. Many college coaches that I have talked to have few - if not zero - spots available because there seniors are choosing to return. I mean, if you aren’t a pro (99% of college athletes), why not get another free year of education? Maybe an advanced degree or a double major is available. Either way, the class of 2021 will miss out on 4 YEARS - the entire experience - because the NCAA can’t see past their own nose...
