Can someone explain Crean’s problem?

CanisFamiliarisCanisFamiliaris Posts: 19 ✭ Freshman

It seems once again that there’s a good chance that we start all over again roster-wise next season. So can anyone answer these questions:

1) Do players hate Crean and if so why? I don’t mind losing a JUCO transfer who hasn’t contributed but why is Fagan leaving? (He’s a contributor)

2) Has Crean just recruited many players who can’t play D-1 ball? If so, is he taking desperation recruits or can he not judge talent.

3) Okay, forget Tech. They had a good run and a very lucky ACC toony. But, really, our program is more on the level of Mercer and Georgia State. What is our PROBLEM?

One big problem is that he does not always come across as likeable and friendly. That makes teaching and recruiting more difficult.

Sahvir, KD and Toumani are nucleus -- PJ, Andrew and Justin consider coming back --- Tye, at 6-3, has to shoot better than 25 percent from 3 and 56 at FT line to get more that the 22 minutes he got per game at UGA.

Crean needs a couple bigs, UGA will be Top 5 in SEC next season.

Wow, we’re moving up from mediocre to slightly above average. Can hardly wait until next season.

At least the Lady Dawgs are competitive.

I get that the optics of all these guys transferring looks bad and it may be worse than I think, but none of the guys that have left have done anything at their new schools and aside from Fagan none were really contributors. It seems like Crean has been in the final group for a bunch of solid transfers the last few seasons so if he can get a few for next season then I think we will be better next year than this year.
