This year sets up beautiful for Kirby. The SEC East continues to be one of the weakest divisions in college football. Both KY and UF will have new quarterbacks. No one comes close to having talent like UGA, in either division. The cross over games are probably easier this year than they will be in the future. AU has a new coach. Arkansas will have a new quarterback and if we were to admit the truth UGA’s second units are better than Arkansas’s starters.

This year it really is a two game season, Clemson and the SECCG. Winning the SEC is the surest road to the playoffs. Winning the SEC this year will probably not be as difficult as it has in the past or even in the near term future. UA and A&M are probably the strongest teams but both will have new quarterbacks.

The real challenge in the playoffs will probably be OU. It will be a shoot out.

So this year does present the best opportunity to win a national championship. The question is will it happen.

As long as UGA keeps recruiting well then there will always be a chance of all the stars aligning and KIrby winning something big. It's time to coach them up and make it happen.

Kirby didn't have a NC stolen from him. He changed his game plan after he got ahead and went conservative trying to run the clock out. When that happened BAMA seized the momentum and never gave it back.

The only reason there was an overtime to begin with was the BAMA kicker missed a sure thing.

No, I think Kirby is a very good Coach now and at the level he recruits at he'll win Championships and b remembered as a Great Coach and this upcoming season will probably be his 1st with more to come.

I very much disagree. 1st yes the east is down but even comparing the east to the ACC is laughable. Win a game or 2 in the ACC and you're in the playoffs. .

The second thing was about UK and flurduh. I hate uf more than anyone, n imo Jones is a sub par qb, so let that tool Mullen be the qb whisperer do his thing. But UK has recruited pretty good in the last few cycles. UK and Arky worry me more than UF.

Again, with the way Kirby has recruited and continues to recruit and with a great Coaching Staff and a UGA administration thats all in on doing whatever (Within reason) it takes to complete for Championships year in and year out, Georgias Championship window should b open a good long while no question. And remember, Kirby is only 45 years old I think so he'll b around for at least another 12-15 years at Georgia so whats up with all of this now or never nonsense.

The comparison is Clemson to the ACC and UGA to the SEC. There is no team in the East that should be a challenge, not even UF this year. The crossover games with the West also should not present a problem. Having said this, it does not mean there is not a game that could not end in a loss. It also means as it concerns the SEC, it is a one game season and that game will be against the winner of the West.

For this year, it is not much different than every year in the ACC and Clemson. The exception is to reach the playoffs, the championship game will be against a much better team than Clemson will have to defeat.
