Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:

- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

the real question is will he be there for all of it. I would imagine yes considering how much he loves the game.
Or hates being away from it...
How does this compare to NFL coaches? I'm not familiar with what they make. (this question is directed at anyone, not just Kasey)
haha..I suppose that's one way to look at it.
Belichick makes $12.5M and I would say he deserves every penny. Pete Carroll makes $11M. Gruden makes $10M which he is grossly overpaid. and Sean Payton makes $9.8M. So the best in college and pros make the most. As it should be.
The NFL has a salary cap, but not so on the coaches salaries. It's an inherent advantage to overpay for a really good coach and utilize that discrepancy if it's possible.
I wonder what he loves the most - the game or the money. Either is good motivation for him to stick around for a good while. Both ? They might have to have the troopers remove him from the premises, kicking and screaming on his way out.
Something I tend to forget from time to time but the vast majority of the CFB coaches are State Employees. That goes for Saban as well as Dabo, Jimbo, and of course CKS. They are all the highest paid employees of their respective states. Got to wonder where does all that cashola come from and who has the authority to dole it out ?
I wonder if Alabama has a mandatory retirement age for its employees.
donations...
makes you wonder why people are ok with coaches getting these millions, but are averse to players getting money.
I'd like to think the game but who knows. Saban has made more than enough money but as Bruce Springsteen said: "poor man wanna be rich, rich man wanna be king, king ain't satisfied till he rules everything."
Neither Money or the game it is his ego.......that is why he did not last in the NFL, some Pro Players had bigger egos than him and he would have none of that
Saban will stick around for the entirety of his new deal and like it or not, will in all likelihood bag a minimum of two or three more National Championships and leave on his own terms naturally. This is what the rest of CFB is dealing with, and I've been loosely following this class that Bama is putting together for 2022 to stack on top of their historic 2021 class that featured 8 composite 5 stars if I'm not mistaken, all I'll say is this, 2021 is not now or never for Georgia but if you're gonna get Bama, this will likely b our best shot for a couple of years, SERIOUSLY. Gotta do it now!
