Headed out from Marathon for a half day of fishing.......TODAY.
And the high will only reach 78 degrees. Hope we catch something......but am very OK if we don’t.
6 hours of fishing, snorkeling and kayaking......I realize it’s not real fishing......but what an awesome day nonetheless.
This will certainly be a Modelo day.
That is "reel" fishing in my book! Enjoy!
Not sure if you can still harvest conch in the keys, but if you can, I highly recommend. The closest I've come to the fresh tuna w/a lime story @AnotherDawg shared, was pulling up a queen conch, popping a hole in the top of the shell to release the conch's grip, cutting a slice, squeezing on some fresh key lime. Not tuna, a little tough, but magnificent!
Tight lines and Good times for all @texdawg
Just plain jealous!
Turned out to be a great day......loved the Keys.... flying back to the real world tomorrow.
my grandson, catching small brim out of creek in kansas city
We love fighting the Red Drum! Of course, my better half catches most, I’m her bait/beer man! St. Helena Island - Beaufort
Great pics, and very well done sir.
Beautiful red and what a great place to wet a line! I’d forgotten about this thread so thx for posting. Below is my PB speckled trout - 22.5” - caught in Pensacola a couple weeks back visiting the in-laws. Caught a couple nice mangrove snapper and puppy 17” reds as well on the same flat, all on a twitch bait.
Nice!!!!!!!!
