Didn't want to clutter @christopherules "Favorite Movies" thread, but wanted to continue the discussion that @texdawg and @how2fish started there regarding great movie soundtracks.
Forrest Gump and Guardians of the Galaxy were both mentioned. I can think of several others that were memorable, but if I had to pick a favorite it would probably be The Big Chill.
How about y'all?
P.S. If you're more into scores than soundtracks, feel free to post those as well.

Haven't seen it in awhile, but I remember Blow having a good soundtrack. Almost Famous was good as well.
Not really one of my favorite movies but the soundtrack for Dirty Dancing was pretty good. And I agree about the Big Chill .
Tough to beat that one!
There's original scores that work for the movie like The Godfather, The Good, The Bad And The **** and Doctor Zivago. Then there's great compilations of songs like The BIg Chill and Pulp Fiction. I'll go with The Good, The Bad and The **** of the scores I've heard and come to mind.
Natural Born Killer's is the correct answer.
I'd say The Wall, but that's kind of cheating since the soundtrack came before the movie.
Can’t Hardly Wait
Rocky IV
The original Rocky would be a worthy choice. That score is impossible to forget.
If I was going to just list best music I'd likely go with The Last Waltz.
American Beauty! - Thomas Newman elevates every movie he composes.
Interstellar
The Graduate
Reservoir Dogs
Forrest Gump
The Exorcist
Jaws
Snatch
Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels
Eyes Wide Shut
Easy Rider
Mulholland Drive
How 'bout Platoon? That was a good use of the Barber Adagio for Strings and a groovy late 60s play list. Though not a movie, someone mentioned Hell on Wheels in the other thread. That series introduced me to a lot of great songs that always focused the story lines.
I literally just finished watching Interstellar half an hour ago, I have no recollection of the soundtrack.
Gladiator is one of my favorite movies as far as original score. It was so unique and really served as extra character in a way to move emotion throughout the film.
John Williams is gold with anything he does. He makes Home Alone such a more poignant film with his music.
Oldie but goodie; Soundtrack from "Easy Rider"
