Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

anything with "Announcement" is permanent, depends on recent posts which is in the 1st spot.
Mike, I wouldn't worry too much about a guy with 6 total posts on this forum. Keep reporting the news, asking difficult questions, and don't be deterred by anonymous keyboard critics.
True. Kirby gets grilled harder after a big win than you-know-who ever gets...and you never see Kirby just walk away.
@MikeGriffith agree with you, not sure why everyone so upset. Kirby likes to coach. He doesn’t just coach the team he also coaches the media and the fans😂. Just like Saban. Anytime the media or the fans displease Saban he coaches them hard just like his players. Good grief Saban was so unhappy about student attendance being poor he had Alabama electronically tracking students.
Kirby likes to coach hard. He’s not giving Connor anything he don’t give a player. How many coaches challenge and criticize fan performance? I can think of two. Coach Smart and Coach Sabin.
There was nothing wrong with the question. In fact it was a great question. It let Kirby say exactly what he wanted to say and generated discussion.
In fact there is only one thing I’d like to see @Kconnorriley do different. That’s call him Coach. Connor is a little to young to be saying Kirby to him. It just sounds bad to me when Connor says Kirby. I’ve always respected my elders.
Good point about calling him Kirby at a press conference. That is the only thing that caught my attention about the question. Coach or Coach Smart would be appropriate, no matter how old the reporter is. That's just being professional.
I think CKS asks players to call him Kirby Of course, he sees them every day. It does seem to presume a sort of relationship that might not exist. "coach" would seem more appropriate.
Yeah just about everybody calls him Kirby
A quote from today's DN page.. The main topic is CKS ' salary. While speaking of Jimbo and Texas A&M, I read "The Aggies nearly missed out on the College Football Playoff last season ". That suggested to me that the Aggies MADE the playoffs. Unless I was asleep at the wheel, they didn't make the playoffs. Combine this with the recent headline gaffe and I'm going WTH is going on "up there".? Someone offered to proof read for some remuneration. I think it would be $ well spent by DN. It's like some writers don't read what they wrote before posting it.
Sorry. Rant over.
If I'm not mistaken, DawgNation is owned by Cox...oh yeah, it says that at the bottom of the page.
I catch typos on WSBTV's stories all the time.
It may be the software they're using if they do talk to type. (hands up emoji)
Even if that is the reason and i am not convinced it is, it is still no excuse.
I've seen consistent typo's on articles since 2018 when I started following this site. I expect it now and it makes me chuckle.
Some of it could be intentional. A company I was working for recently had some obvious typos on the company website and in some advertising. I notified the managers and offered to help proofread their material for them. They said the typos are intentional. Said that customers respond better if there are minor typos. If everything is perfect it comes off cold and mechanical. A typo or two gives the material a more natural and human feel. As an English major, I'm not sure I follow the logic....but the marketing experts say it's a real thing. When I see typos in professional publications, I think someone didn't do their job. Makes me not want to trust whatever they are selling.
So in Closing your Honor, that is why my grammatical errors are so egregious on Dawgnation! I want to be seen, heard and read as a warm and fuzzy thespian, not a cold and calculating orator!
Regardless, what he says, is true! Strange world that we live in, the only thing that can make this better is a UK BEATDOWN and I am not referring to the Boston Tea Massacre we pulled on the Brits, that's the other UK!
Electronically tracking students? 🤔🤔🤔 Nah, I'd b in somebody's grill over that. How do u think it would go over if students or ANYBODY tried tracking Saban?
depends where it happened.
