BA Doesn’t like Arch Manning
I think I’m gonna need Jeff to explain how good this kid is to BA because this kid is legit, it’s not just a name. He’s tall and athletic with a quick arm, better arm talent than Stockton and VG. Unless monken creates a Florida type offense where the QB runs a lot more, he’s also a better scheme fit than the two QBs I just mentioned. This kid wants to come to Georgia and I’d like to see BA embrace the kid and not say he doesn’t care one way or the other if he comes. Arch can attract talent if he comes to UGA and despite the craziness of the name, it’s definitely a respectable family with good values “all the way around “. I also don’t like how some people wanna just give the starting job to Stockton of VG, Kirby has shown whoever competes the best will play, hence mr mailman playing and a USC transfer. No such thing as too much talent at any position, so let’s get all the dawgs out there on board to recruiting arch like I know we can. Maybe an early commitment from him can add to the momentum to be able to flip a guy like Travis hunter that may seem impossible. Thoughts?

For those of us who don't necessarily follow all things BA, when and where and what did he say about Manning?
Link?
Also, would love a source on the claim he wants to come to Georgia.
In the latest cover 4 pod. I can get the time on the video if you really want it. But he’s Alluded to it a few times on the DawgNation daily pod as well. He’s usually all over 5 star guys with any inkling for Georgia but isn’t hot for him for some reason. I get the feeling it’s because of the circus around the name
You can see aptitude for the position in everything he does on the field. He looks to have uncanny touch and accuracy, a bit like Payton and he has a relaxed instinctive running style that's a lot like his Gramps had. I'm not saying he's Payton's equal as a passer or Archie's equal at escaping and running, but he is impressive overall.
I’ve been on this beat for awhile and there’s a lot of subtle signs but Texas does have a shot with it coming down to UGA and them. But 50/50 is a strong indicator
My favorite thing is his arm action, it’s so quick. Much more natural feel than anyone we’ve had since stafford
@Haymaker Thanks for your reply and for all the follow up posts.
Thank you for commenting! I was also just wondering if other people were getting the same impression from BA whenever his name came up
Vandagriff has a lot of arm talent as well. He has the biggest arm of any Georgia QB since Stafford, and he's more accurate than Matthew was at the same stage. Of course he's got power in his legs too.
Very mature kid, dude is straight up built. Idk, watching him play catch with beck their arms were on par with each other. Only thing I’m down on with BVG is his arm action, it’s a bit long and his accuracy wasn’t awesome in the spring game but obviously really young. I was dying for Kirby to let him rip a few early in the season when he was just handing the ball off at the end of a couple games
Beck might throw as far as Brock, but the ball won't get there as fast as BV's will. BV can throw the 30 yard flat trajectory out route like a pro, it's the tell tale pass NFL scouts rate arms by.
Can’t argue with that. As long as he can figure out touch then he can be something. I think watching Bo Nix against Georgia really showed this. You can’t just throw it hard and on the money for catches. A lot of those throws were unnecessarily hard cuz he’s got a cannon
If this Manning fella did come here he'd have to bide his time because in case u haven't noticed over the last 10-12 years or so these Georgia Boys, my Homeboys can play the hell out of some QB from Cam Newton to DeSean Watson to Davis Mills to Jake Fromm to Trevor Lawrence to Justin Fields to Max Johnson (Max has serious Sunday Football potential man) to BVG to Gunner Stockton and whoever I may have forgotten, the latter 2 of which will most definitely be here IF Manning came so IF he did choose Georgia he'd better get his Popcorn ready because he'll be watching Beck, BVG or Gunner Stockton play QB on Gamedays for 2 to 3 years MINIMUM therefore he's not coming here and my guess is we won't NEED him anyway.
yawn.
It’s a long way till he commits , lots of stuff gonna happen, coaches moving on , programs winning or losing, etc. hard to project. Keep an eye on who LSU hires for this recruitment. Who is going to be our OC in 2024 and beyond? Hummmm see
we are fine either way , but great and win a couple of Nattys with him but the odds are not in our favor
