Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

SEC Championship
This is something I can't help thinking about as we get closer to Saturday.
Not necessarily claiming any intentional wrong doing took place.
I've maintained since this game that game that the only way UGA will beat Alabama is if the margin of victory is large enough that the Refs can't make a difference.
If our Dawgs are going to win they have to keep their foot on the gas the entire game.
Go Dawgs!

Also remember the lucky bounces that went Alabama’s way. In the SECCG the RB fumbled into the end zone and somehow the ball rolled close enough he could touch it for one second while lying upside down backwards. A Dawg picked up the ball and headed for a game changing 100-yard score flipping TD. After review the call was reversed and Bama given a TD and 14-point swing in the game.
I say it’s finally our turn for Old Ladyluck to smile on us. Of course, with Jordan Davis and company we can make our own luck. Wreck the line of scrimmage!
Luck is for losers. Excuses are for losers.
We go out, execute, win, and leave nothing to doubt or chance. Win the game.
The "offsides" on the blocked punt...
Massively overrated, it should have been illegal procedure
All of the blatant holding calls and the unnecessary roughness on Fromm immediately come to mind.
The biggest MISSED holding call of the night was on Tua's 3rd down run in the 3rd quarter. Tua went to the right and Roquan was so obviously TACKLED by an OL that allowed Tua to get away and extend the play. Once they got that first down, I believe the next play was a TD. That was the start of the comeback...
As the goons on CBS said Saturday night, the last time Alabama was held scoreless at halftime was this game.
We were clearly whipping them and Saban was coming unhinged.
Wasn't there also a missed clothesline tackle call too?
By the way, they were NEVER gonna call the illegal procedure on Alabama.
I will say that I was amazed at all of the calls that went against Alabama against Rburn.
You have to mentally prepare to beat Bama and some calls that don't go your way. That's just sports. No sense in dwelling on it.
Hence the off sides call that killed us in 2017 ?
Luck is an interesting concept. What exactly does "luck" mean ? Seems to me it something that is rather unexpected - not under a player/team's control ? Things happen in games. Fumbles, bad calls, weather, dropped passes, runners tripping apparently over nothing more than a blade of grass, injuries. Which of those are "luck" and which aren't ? Hard to say. Luck apparently is not under one's control. It's just something that happens and the context determines if it is called "luck"., or a bad break or a good break.
If a pitcher throws one "bad" pitch in an otherwise well pitched game, is it "luck". If so, why or why not? Is it good luck for the hitter who drives it out of the park or bad luck for the pitcher? If it's late in the game, and the pitcher is tired, is it correct to call it "luck" ? The pitch only has to be 1/2 inch off to be hit out of the park. I re-iterate. What, exactly, is "Luck"
Luck is for losers ? Well, for every loser there is a winner and so luck must be for winners as well. Ask Bama.
Just thinking out loud as I am wont do to at times,
If we could’ve run the ball or pass with effectiveness that’s wouldn’t have mattered. Or defended a Hail Mary pass in overtime.
Michel was having success but don’t think he touched the ball in the 4th. His shifty ness was a difference maker in that game. I love Chubb but we should’ve used Michel more late. I think cook will be like Michel this weekend
good luck for Bama ?
They still had to stop what we were doing. They still executed when we failed.
Not good luck for Bama, poor evaluation/execution by Dell (as he's in charge of RB rotation). He continued with the normal rotation and should've stuck with the hot hand (Sony).
poor decision - something over which Bama had no control. So I'd call that good luck for them.
But someone had control over it, UGA, so no luck involved. Bama executed and stopped who was trotted out in front of them.
Either way, I think you’re missing Kasey’s point, you have to overcome unlucky events. No point in wallowing in the misery of being unlucky and using it as an excuse.
