Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Article didn't say but he could clear in time for the game . If I remember correctly Saban was cleared in around 8 days, but I might be wrong on that.
This mess is getting ridiculous, are they gonna shut down when influenzaA B or C hits? Or what about “Jonny just sneezed shut er down fellas”!!!
I didn't see JT playing regardless. This news is basically the same as if he didn't have covid. Either way, I believe he ain't playing. I hope he is okay and recovers quickly.
HEre's what we're hearing about how Georgia is handling COVID surge:
What about the team being 100% vaccinated?
Closing the barn door after the horses have eaten your children?
Never heard that one before! I got the booster ~10 days ago after reading about Omicron. I'm surprised they didn't do this earlier. My shot literature said it takes 10-14 days to take effect.
The problem is likely that who else is or will be positive between now and Dec 31st. There were also staffers that tested positive and other players that have not been identified!
I know 10 people that got the Delta variant after being vaccinated. Good news is that none of them were in need of a hospital. Vaccine is not a preventative but certainly lessens the impact.. most of the time. I hope that is the case with J.T.
Yeah the article mentioned that several other players were in Covid protocol but had not tested positive
People still getting Covid with the booster, my pastor’s daughter took the Pfizer vac and had the booster and still caught it.
These are very healthy young men, from all accounts this new strain is more easily spread but not as severe as the Delta or original virus. Case numbers are not as important if the risk of hospitalizations and deaths are down. Vaccinated people should have less to fear from this one than the Delta variant. At least that is the theory. So maybe the horses go hungry. Let's hope so.
Yeah but the booster isn’t immediate in terms of effectiveness.
Yeah I got mine 10 days ago. Need to get the flu shot now.
Let's be honest. Young healthy people aren't hospitalized with Covid, vaccinated or not. 60-80% of the general population that contracts Covid are asymptomatic or only have minor symptoms. Age and health being the most relevant factor. ...this is nuts.
The "vaccinations" are NOT preventing people from being infected, nor are they preventing people from transmitting the virus. The definition of "vaccine" has been changed to accommodate this new technology. But this is most certainly not a vaccine in the traditional sense.
Which means players and coaches who are otherwise healthy can contract and transmit SARS-CoV-2, and obviously "test" positive and be disqualified from playing in the CFP.
Omicron is not prevented by the vaccines. The good news is Omicron appears to be about as debilitating as other coronaviruses that are already circulating that cause "the cold."
The reported symptoms are:
However, Omicron appears to be more communicable than other variants. The news today that 75% of the new cases of SARS-CoV-2 in the U.S. are now Omicron and not Delta. So it appears to be out spreading Delta. The bad news is the NCAA regulations prevent players and coaches that test positive from participating.
60-80% of people infected are asymptomatic or only have mild symptoms.
It seems to be the world we are in.
If you sneeze we are shutting everything down. Bubblewrap the world.
I agree but What is the alternative, don't get it cause it's not immediate?
Well, we are within the 10 day time period for the game. It will be interesting to see how many players among the playoff teams are impacted. Could make for an interesting week.
