Jimbo and James and the championship game

One of the ways viewers could watch the championship game was as a “fly on the wall” as Jimbo Fisher and his A&M staff watched and break it down in real time.
I watched it on YouTube, and to see James Coley interacting with Jimbo Fisher was painful, but fascinating at the same time.
If you get a chance check it out. Jimbo is no Tony Romo, as he kept guessing the play call to come and never got it right.

I watched bits and pieces of it. To me, it seemed like he was rooting for Bama. Probably so he could retain bragging rights of being the only team to beat them this season. Oops.
I think you’re right. It ruffled the feather in his hat. Jimbo loves him some Jimbo.
You could tell he told his staff to agree with him on everything so he’d look “smart” on TV.
Not real sure that the man's head is screwed on right
All of y'all ought to go and see this one (pictured below), and then hear Jimbo's latest rambling rant that he had himself a meltdown over Lane Kiffin, and the NIL money that is being rumored to being "allegedly" being spent over at Texas A&M..... Jimbo Fisher just about blew a freaking gasket!!! IT IS HILARIOUS!!!!
GO DAWGS!!!
The whole thing was really awkward.
He’s not wrong about people believing things they read on the internet. Everything else is unhinged. He should also shave and have a prepared statement. He’s calling people clowns and hypocrites while he’s lost all composure and just repeats himself, well, repeatedly.
Reminds me of the Ole Miss recruiting class from outta nowhere years ago.
Exactly.
Something fishy is definitely going on. He says it wasn't $30M...Ok, maybe it was only $27M. So he could be technically correct. Maybe he really doesn't know and doesn't want to know so he has plausible deniability. To me it's just too much of a jump in one mediocre season. TAMU has recruited well historically, but putting together the greatest class in NCAA history after going 8-4 right when it became legal to pay players? Yeah, come on Jimbo...
I think these numbers have been greatly exaggerated. A rookie NFL class costs $22M, so some boosters paid $30M? No chance.
Are they benefiting from NIL? Yes. Is it beyond egregious? I think it’s too early to tell. Let’s see how this class performs and if these boosters get what they paid for.
I wonder if the NCAA will require players to report all NIL deals. The NCAA does have an interest in where these players are making deals. I am sure they don't want players advertising for Marlboro or Jack Daniels or some local Gentlemen's Club. Would seem logical to require players to report all NIL deals since those deals are based on the player's NCAA status. If they weren't NCAA athletes, they wouldn't have NIL deals.
We will probably never know how much money was spent on that class, but the sudden and dramatic improvement in their recruiting should have everyone's attention. Several high level coaches have acknowledged that NIL is now a huge part of the recruiting landscape. So it is factual to say that there is some amount of money being promised to elite players. How much? We don't know just yet...but it's happening. It is impossible to believe that TAMU didn't promise a whole lot of money to their commits. Jimbo didn't land 7 5-star players because he's a swell guy and TAMU is kicking butt... He didn't really convince anyone with his little tantrum...kind of made it worse.
That I agree…he should’ve just said we are adapting to the changing landscape of recruiting and will work hard to bring a winning product to our fans. Our rivals should do the same instead of worrying about us.
Plain and simple. Acknowledge it without defending it.
He's trying to be Spurrier's little brother, Fredo.
Go, Dawgs!
