Lol Saban been making excuses since about January 20th. Had to tamper with Gibbs at North Avenue to recruit him out of there. I know, I know, but he still has to play 8 conference games and he gets 4 of those at home. We shall see how it plays out, but I think they lose to Arky and Tennessee. Would be a bad season for Bama if that happens, however the west is pretty stout.

"I'm sorry I was confused, 2022 is a rebuilding year, a lot of young guys with no experience". After losing to Arkansas or Tennessee, lol.

Little Nicky just can't admit the truth. The Dawgs **** the Gumps in the 4th quarter. Our backups (yes the dawgs had a ton of injuries) out played his. In other words Kirby developed his freshmen and Nicky did not.

Excuses, Excuses, some people just can't handle the fact they got beat. Old nicky is a prime example. As I've said before..excuses are for losing players, fans, and coaches. These statements by saban are a prime example of that.

you can’t get your backups ready to play, it’s a reflection on him…….Kirby did, all year.

Totally classless that Saban blamed the loss on his players, he needs to look in the mirror.

Who in their right mind would want to play for someone like that.

Saban blames 2nd string wide receivers for the championship loss, because those players who were mad they didn't get more playing time or yardage, but he took our wide receiver, burton, who left because he didn't get enough yards at uga. HYPOCRITE.

Agreed that he said that to Coach Kirby after the game.

But his actions and words after the game, blaming the players, whining that his two best receivers were hurt along with his best DB, were just excuses made by someone who just can't accept that we outplayed them when it mattered most and were excuses made by someone who probably realized that he hadn't developed his backup players as much as we did. (See his "rent a player" process he is having to undergo now)

And to top it all off, he makes the statement afterwards that his team was the "SEC champions and no one can take that away" as if to say that our NC was tainted because we weren't champions of our conference. How dare he!

It sure wasn't the narrative espoused by Saban in 2017 when his team didn't even make the SECCG and he whined on ESPN that his team should be in the CFP despite that fact! And it sure didn't wipe the smile off his face when his team won in overtime and became the NC even though they weren't SEC champions that year. He sure never said that "well, this NC just isn't as good as the others we've had because we weren't SEC champs this year" !!!

    Used to respect Saban more.......

Please tell Mr. Saban that 2021 was coincidentally also a “rebuilding” year for our Dawgs. We had a new secondary and no defensive players named to a preseason “All Conference” team. Our offense lost a starting OL on the first play of the season, 5 key receivers and 2 TEs were injured most of the season and our QB went down with an injury early on and never started again, but you didn’t hear us whining did ya? Go Dawgs!!!

Such ridiculous "spinning" and excuse making. Man up Saban! You got beat by a better TEAM. Sure you had some key players out that hurt you, so did we....so shutty! It's your fault you relied so heavily on 2 or 3 players. Kirby relied on his TEAM to beat you. Crawl back into your entitled mindset and we'll see you again very soon!

I remember last year's preseason all SEC teams. Alabama had the most - by far. Sad excuse from Saban.
