GREAT points MG! Thanks so much for putting the state of the SEC into perspective. Georgia appears to be on cruise control for the next several weeks - while all the while, getting those younger players more experience...it's going to be hard on other teams once Georgia gets everything rolling...GO DAWGS!

“…in spite of Stetson…”. I will just remind everyone that JT was fully healthy the last seven games of the 2021 season and did not play. Stetson Bennett LED the Dawgs to the National Championship. Had he been the better option you can bet Kirby would have used him. The MG Bromance with JT continues.

Georgia -- a program that lost 15 players to the NFL draft, and another 13 to the transfer portal, including four former starters. Anybody heard that?

Yeah… just when I thought we had moved on from the JT is better than Stetson narrative, here MG comes in the back door with another article… it isn’t subtle, and it is a tired argument. 😐

There is a reason why JT transferred, the cream rose to the top.

Definitely built a program that will be a top performer year in and year out. Plus, with the changes in the East, the conference will be better balanced just as they remove the divisions and move into the new alignment for the addition of horns down and Okie. As much as I liked Richt, it seemed that we would celebrate the signing of 1 5-star and now with KS, the bench is full of very capable players regardless of the stars. Great time to be a DAWG fan so soak it in.

From a numbers perspective. I believe most college teams will lose 25+/- every year due to using up eligibility, portal, draft, etc. thus each season there are freshman and transfers ready to go. Not sure why the media keeps bringing this up like it’s something new. Sure the draft quality was high, but pure numbers, this happens every year

After disrespecting Stetson’s talents and abilities at every opportunity last year, Mike Griffith is now looking for a way out of his lack of talent evaluation now that Stetson is a true Sec QB and being mentioned as a Heisman finalist. The constant refrain about Stetson’s size and arm was a weekly narrative in practically every MG article last year. This years’ performance by Bennet and his “sudden improvement” should give a reader pause to consider that his opinions and “coaching tips” are without merit.

" was considered a sleeping giant. That sleeping giant is now fully awake"

    Love that line!

I Can understand that kind of attachment coming from a "Fan"...not from a "Journalist". Sooner or later, the facts catch up with both. LOL
