Help with ESPN+

OK so all these channels and apps confuse me sometimes. As far as I know I am subscribed to espn plus with my Verizon disney bundle thing. I have access to the espn plus articles and all that. As far as my cable I get the 2 main espn's and the sec network but not the alternates and all that. Can anyone tell me if I will be able to watch the game tomorrow on the app based on that information?

Yes, you should be able to watch the game via the app if you have a valid TV Subscription. When your app gives you the option of watching SEC Network+ (logged in with cable provider) vs. ESPN+, choose the SEC Network+ option. If everything you said regarding the ESPN+ bundle is also valid, you should have no issue choosing the second option either. I think either way you're ok.
I might do a test run today to make sure - open the app and try to watch something designated with ESPN+. This way you're not ripping your hair out at noon tomorrow if it's not working or if it makes you go through the login process.
I was in panic mode last week...I know, I know...
I had to go to an out of town funeral last Saturday, and when I pulled up the ESPN app (thought it was ESPN+) the game did not give me the option to watch!
I went to the Xfinity Stream app and was able to watch it that way...I know there is some handshaking between the two apps somehow, but I don't use it enough to know exactly.
You shoulda seen me and my three daughters eating our Chick-Fil-A at my parents' cabin kitchen table...watching the game on my 12.9" iPad Pro!! Definitely NOT how I wanted to watch it last week!
BTW, Dawgfantip, I have the Verizon Disney bundle and I thought it was the ESPN+ app too.
Hopefully, I'm done with Saturday out of town funerals for a while!
I just looked at the ESPN + app, and if you click on the setup wheel at the upper righthand corner, scroll all the way to the bottom at "I'm unable to watch a game on ESPN+".
As my dad taught me, the big print giveth, and the small taketh away...
"If you're having trouble accessing a particular game on the ESPN app, keep in mind that some events may be subject to regional blackouts based on your location."
Good to know...d'oh!
I have the same bundle on Verizon. When you go to either the SEC or ESPN + app to watch, it will ask you to sign in with your Verizon login that you used to set up the bundle. You can then watch on your device, or if you have a TV that allows casting, you can cast from your device to the tv. Hope that helps. That us how I will be watching Saturday.
I'm confused and out of patience , so I will go to my old stand by, a bar stool in a sports bar.
I am still confused with espn/espn+. I have watched some events and been denied others. I found out recently that I had been charged for the espn+ service for several months although I have never subscribed.
The amazon account and fire stick are on my wife's account and they may have simply enabled it when I surfed through it. My wife obviously does not pay close attention to her bills.
Still dealing with amazon/espn to resolve. During the time I was being charged I was denied access to games/shows I should have had access since she was being billed every month.
Now you’re talking!!
Go Dawgs!
Thanks for the walk through. You all would have seen the meltdown 700 miles away if I didn't get the game today.
Definitely not working today, will not recognize youtubetv.
I'll see you on the radio.
Go to ESPN app, choose the game, it will give you option of watching on ESPN+ or SEC+. Choose SEC+, enter YouTube TV info as TV provider. Cast to your TV.
Or you may have to find SEC+ on the ESPN app like I did. Then had to log in on my phone with a code displayed on the tv.
Thanks, I did finally get logged in on phone.
I dont understand why espn would force you to go to phone app instead of simply watching on app installed on tv. Maybe the point is to frustrate you into buying the + service.
I guess I am not their target audience as I am more stubborn than they are.
I do Hulu live. Comes with Disney and ESPN plus. Only reason I have stuck with Hulu
