I have to laugh out loud!!!

You mean that same Auburn team that played those Missouri Tigers last week to a 14-14 tie at the end of regulation play? That Auburn team that then beat Mizzou by 3 pts in overtime?

Why in the world are we favored so heavily over THAT Auburn team after the egg we laid yesterday against those same Missouri Tigers?

Kirby let the offense go up tempo. They play a lot crisp when they do. Stetson and the offense get in a rhythm when going hurry up.

The offense really needs AD Mitchell back. It has not been the same since he went down with the ankle.

Couldn't care less what the odds makers say... Georgia will no doubt get Auburn's best game. And btw, their personnel aren't too shabby over there. Ditto the next game after that. And the next game after that. Better get used to the shock and disappointment, if that's what happens when the SEC bottom dwellers play our much higher ranked dawgs tooth and nail with their best possible effort, their desperate coaching, and cast of capable blue-chip players (some of whom we recruited). Again, as long as Georgia wins, by even the smallest of margins, I simply don't care what was predicted or should have happened. Go Dawgs!

Injuries are part of the game...next man up. Offense may need to carry the defense this year and return the favor from last year. But in order to do that we've GOT to start gelling consistently on offense. Red zone offense has GOT to drastically improve. O-line needs to improve. Run game needs to improve. Stet needs to play much better than yesterday.

We've now got the #8, #13, and #23 ranked teams on our November schedule. We'll really see what these Dawgs are made of then.

This was a ridiculous game! What the heck? What makes matters worse is that this had happened two weeks in a row! We got a guy (Gilbert) disappearing again (personal reasons), a guy with a DUI and a team that looks lost out there for the 2nd week in a row. The first game was playing the sisters of the poor. Yesterday, we played a team that is an SEC bottom feeder. Yet, you would have thought we were playing BAMA the way they kicked us up and down the field. We had offensive linemen standing and allowing the defense to blow right on past them (Ratlidge and Jones). Meanwhile, our center is getting whipped by the lineman across from him. What gives? Is this the best team in the land or not?? Kirby opened his mouth a few weeks ago and declared that the dawgs had not been challenged yet, well - two weeks in a row the challenge has come and the team has stumbled to a win both times. Have they seen enough? When will the challenge become a loss?? Stetson was back to his old ways - looking confused, fumbling, throwing interceptions, over throwing, under throwing...Dang! Then, people give him a slap on the back like the 1st 3qtrs never happened - all because he finally strung together 2 TD drives in the 11th hour of the game! He needs a good kick in the pants for what he didn't do in the 1st 3qtrs of the game. Monken's play calling was suspect - AT BEST! I think he look a nap for much of the game and woke up in the last qtr.  Even Kirby is not looking as upset as he should be considering his presumed hopes and dreams of a repeat championship seem to be crumbling right before his eyes. Something is not right in Athens and they better wake up and smell what other teams got cookin' or they will be a collective "one and done" with their only championship in 40+ years. We have Auburn this week, who, for the most part has stunk it up this year and have two losses. How about Georgia get some things going this week and whip this team instead dropping again in the polls next week behind Ohio State??  That would be a great start...Come on guys! Act like you want this or something....

Yeah, up tempo. That might scuttle Auburn. Could be a factor. Teams are catching on to the TE pool UGA possesses. The run game picked up nicely late against Mizzou. Even earlier. K-Mac ran strong. Keep heavy on the pedal with RPO as well. Strike fast and hard. Don't let Auburn get set. Hopefully AD Mitchell will suit up this game. UGA needs to become the hunter again. No more fumbles! UGA is better than portrayed. OL tighten up. Get physical. Smack some boys around. Let them know they have been in a real Dawg fight! Let's go!

Let’s see. 25 point favorite over MO. Final score: 26-22 which was made possible by true freshman safety tackling ball accrued at 1 yard line on what looked like a sure 68 yard TD scamper. Whew! Thank you Starks!

Now 28 point favorite over Auburn. Will another miracle save be required? Heck, even I’m considering taking Auburn and those 28 points. Of course, that would guarantee a 40 point beat down. 😂

Throw more to Darnell, Dom, and Kearis. All three made nice catches and are a load to tackle. Bench McConkey. He seems to be a head case when it comes to catching the ball the last two games. Continue to use Bowers of course. Rosemy-Jacksaint and Morrisette (sp) ain’t bad either. Smith on the comeback as well. We’re more than okay at receiver. Of course, it will be nice to get Mitchell back, but in the meantime make better use of the weapons we have. And PLEASE stop making excuses! We’re starting to sound like the Bama crowd when they lost the natty only because a receiver got hurt.

I hope our Dawgs chalk a W on Auburn and later Vandy and just get to the Bye week. Oh Yeah I’d absolutely Love if our Dawgs utterly decimated Both. But honestly right now I’ll settle for W’s on both. Get to the Bye week hopefully get some guys healed up from injuries. Coaches watch a ton of tape, get out there with the players and iron out as much as they can before playing the mud lizards in Jax. Our Dawgs are Still undefeated right now. So just get the W’s vs Auburn and Vandy and then maybe freshen up some, iron out the wrinkles. Catch a second wind and keep on chopping !! We’ve got Allot of very talented players on both sides of the ball. And even though these last games have been bad wins they are wins, And each game gives the younger guys more experience. Go Dawgs !!

Not as simple as "throwing it more to X and Y." Or I should say that it doesn't accomplish anything. The issue is that the passing game is only making plays in limited situations and areas of the field. So long as only a limited number of plays and routes are going to be called - except for what amounts to trick plays called a few times a game to hopefully keep the defense honest - there is nothing gained by running the same plays with different guys beyond merely (superficially) claiming to get everybody involved. Instead, what is needed is for Darnell, Dom and Kearis to be used to make plays in the passing game that McConkey and Bowers aren't ideal for. Like do a better job of utilizing Darnell's height, leaping ability and ability to take big hits over the middle. Or - as Dom was considered the prototypical slot WR prospect out of high school - throw him slants and comebacks.

The question: can Bennett get the velocity on the ball in order to use Washington the way the Saints used Jimmy Graham? To use Blaylock the way the Patriots used Wes Welker? (Yes, I am using examples from awhile back but sorry: haven't paid much attention to the NFL since they adopted flag football. The run-and-shoot used to be an interesting diversion back in the day, but now the whole NFL does it. Were Warren Moon playing today his numbers would be unreal.) That is going to be necessary for UGA to use all their talent on offense, including getting defenders out of the box so UGA can run the ball (scapegoating Stacey Searals makes no sense ... he was the OL coach when Knowshon Moreno was was running all over the place ... the difference was back then Matt Stafford could make plays all over the field as a passer which forced defenses out of the box).

The Georgia offense has become way to predictable. We throw a short pass to the left, a short pass to the right, a run up the middle. If we get a first down, then repeat the same plays. This worked the first three games against lesser opponent's. Kent St. saw this and really slowed us down, Missouri saw what KST did and did the same only better. All they did was play the outside, put pressure up the middle and play man over the middle. When you do not call any play for more than ten yards all they have to do is sit and wait. If you are only playing a ten yard field, it makes it really easy for the defense to cover. It looked like Monken was calling great games until other teams caught on to what we are doing, it is time now for him to show how good he really is.
