Anybody know why Cottrell and Meriweather haven’t signed? Go Dawgs and it looks like a great class!!!

Agree 1000%! I like that word, “hypocrite”!

If you all remember, it was Urban Crier who caused the “stir” back in the day when he continued to recruit young men who were committed elsewhere despite the admonitions of the Michigan and Wisconsin coaches about breaking the “unwritten, gentlemen’s agreement, rule” the Big 10 had against such a practice.

Day worked with Meyer since 2017, and before he he was asked to retire at the end of 2018, …..so the “tOSU” way of recruiting was already in place!

Day is such a whiner….. what a maroon!

No one expects these athletes-- even the most highly rated-- to step on campus and instantly perform at an All America level... that's what big-time training, development, and coaching are for. Stay on the kids already in the room, and get busy with the newbies... an enviable amount of talent to work with. Go Dawgs!

Looks like more winners than losers.....and the transfer portal is not really much of a loser for us.....yet! We'll see after the CFP.

There is more to this than meets the eye. It could be something simple like no fax machine access or academic qualification related. It could be that the expected Hughley flip didn't happen and now the #'s at OT are over plan. Or UGA is still in the mix for Deandre Moore or a TP WR and the WR #'s are being reviewed.

There will probably be 10 UGA players in the TP when all is said and done. Guessing quite a few OL. UGA may want to take more mature and experienced players out of the TP than project HS players.

UGA probably adds those 2 players in the end but may need to wait until the TP numbers are finalized.

I agree…..there are numerous potential explanations. The fact that we signed 3 WRs and looking at 3 others in the TP could be a bit intimidating for Cottrell. I hope his not signing is just a fluke and he’s not scared-off due to competition because he will have that anywhere he goes. Go Dawgs!!!

Good points Connor! Kirby shys away from the spotlight and that gives him a ton of credibility when making statements about his team - he has always pushed the fact that it is a team effort and I rarely (if at all), have heard him talk about himself in any sort of "patting himself on the back" kind of way. It is impressive how this man can control the narrative and keep things focused on the essential things - this will continue to serve him and dawgnation well in the future! GO DAWGS!
