Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

When you want to take billions of our tax dollars in it's name... oh it's very political.
They don’t use tax dollars to pay for nature documentaries.
You and others are conflating government action to address climate change, which is political, with the observation that climate change has dramatic effects on the environment which is not political.
It starts to bleed into propaganda and narrative. Can I believe what they're telling me when the never ending US coffers are at stake?
I don’t understand. Do you think the people making nature docs are doing so to convince the US Government to give them money?
Yes, Sometimes.
This thread got tinfoil hat real quick.
I don't know. I can't trust what they're saying when that kind of money is being tossed around. Kasey stated "They don’t use tax dollars to pay for nature documentaries." like it's a fact. But I'd bet a nickel he's wrong. One of the most common embezzlement schemes is to take things with a kernel truth, but blow them up into something they are not. I really noticed it in medicine at first. Most of the time it's harmless, but also mostly worthless. Except some people end up making fist fulls of money while our taxes and debt continue to climb. Then I started to notice it everywhere. I have no doubt that "climate change" is similar. And we are bombarded with all kinds of propaganda and narrative. And much of it is funded in areas you would not think it would be. Like pop culture, and Netflix specials. Some of them may be genuine. But some of them may not. I was involved in studying coral reefs in college. I know they're shrinking globally. Or at least they were back then. But they don't know why. Is the warming oceans? Is it pollution? Or is it natural ebb and flow? The problems arise when people see it as a way to funnel money into themselves. Money will corrupt everything. Just look at what it's done to our beloved sport of college football.
Sorry to go this route on the forum, I know it displeases some. But I was just trying to answer direct questions.
How though? Is there any record of the US government subsidizing privately filmed nature documentaries that talk about climate change? I just don't understand how yall are getting from A to B
I disagree with your definition of political.
Stating that climate change is real, anthropogenic, and has drastic effects on the environment and society isn't political. That's just a reality
I don’t know college football has been more fun than ever these last couple seasons.
The US directly subsidizes fossil fuels, beef production, corn production, as well as other industries. Why not get mad at the other stuff?
65-7 was pretty great
