Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Hating the AJC with a passion is nothing new for Dawg fans.
Anyone remember the Jan Kemp era ?
That was off the charts Hate.
Would you accept something of value for free from someone with a different agenda from your own? Just because I do, everyday, doesn't make it right for everyone. Welcome to Dawgnation!
Meh nothing to see here.
It is a sign of the times however. We basically have two America's living in two distinct realities today. Each seeks out news that only confirms what they already believe. Its not healthy long term.
A free independent media is one of the things that makes us great and sets us apart from the Russia's and China's of the world. But it comes with a price. To truly be free sometimes you have to see or hear things you don't agree with. That flies in the face though of what Americans have been conditioned for. See above.
Someone wrote this. As if it was proof of AJC's bias.
They are much happier when they can write about how we choke all the time and fall short.
Well I hate to break it to you. But prior to 2021 that is exactly what this program did. Over and over.
I always thought the AJC did a terrific job covering UGA. In fact growing up in Alabama one of our traditions was getting out on Sunday morning to get the AJC over here. Only way we could get big coverage of the game the day before. For the younger crowd this is pre ESPN.
Bottom line if you don't like what the AJC writes or Chip Towers don't read it. It's a free country. There are plenty of media outlets who are in the bag for UGA and would never report anything negative. We are on one right now.
The problem is that the articles are laden with their opinions too and many opinions at that company are biased against their subject. For example:
That's pretty bad. And for an "investigative journalist" not very accurate. HOPE is a variable amount based on credit hours. And even that's moot when you consider the symbiotic relationship between football success, student applications to get in, and overall success for the University. Football pays a LOT of bills and Kirby has placed the school into another tier entirely.
There does seem to be personal grudge here that is disappointing. Mark Richt is gone and it appears that resentment exists for losing favored nation status. Objectivity is not beyond question but appears compromised. Go around and compare to other programs and I think UGA does a better job than most if not all others on all issues confronting colleges and teenagers.
This almost makes me wonder why is there such a hard axe for the AJC to now be grinding it with UGA and/or Kirby??? A Tech grad who actually has found a job? Perhaps a Florida grad who can not only read, but can also really write too??? An Auburn.... what am I saying???.... ehhh, forget all those crazy thoughts, that would be just some serious extreme fiction going on inside of MY own head.... This really is however a total hatchet job for the AJC to come after Kirby and UGA like this IMHO.
I have no problem with their reporting.
None. Zero. Nada.
It's actually the opposite. Kirby has followed the Saban playbook and has effectively kowtowed most of the media that covers UGA. I don't blame him for that either. Its effective.
I usually follow the post game press conference pretty close and watch it as soon as it hits the internet. I can always tell who the softball questions are going to come from.
If I wanted nothing but praise for the Dear Leader id move to North Korea.
The AJC is doing its job IMO.
From the article
“I had also reviewed and clarified the details of (her) own testimony with her to the point of confirming that she did not at any point articulate any crime being committed against her (she never directly told him to stop, took any action to try to top any given action, or articulated forced used.)”
So, literally nothing to see here. This happens everyday in college.
This is a totally different tone taken when compared to the ajc article....
@swilkerson7317 , if you read the article written by Jake Rowe and published on DawgsHQ, posted by @Kasey above, does this change your opinion about the piece that Alan Judd wrote on this matter and his opinion as to the alleged coverup and handling of the incident by the UGA admin?
Just wondering......
That's a great response you're absolutely right
Looks like UGA did the right thing when you read the police report. Why does the AJC feel the need to paint such a false picture of what actually happened?
