Has it really been 10 years since he last did a UGA game?! Dang. Give a listen to some of his more memorable calls this morning and lets get ready for some football.

Mr. Munson. God rest his soul. Actually knew the man.
Seems like @BiffLowman gave me the best subject for post No. 1000 on the board.
Hope everyone heard the recent DN Daily that explained "Red Hot Poker" and a little bit of my time as an intern for Munson when he was at 680 The Fan.
^^^^^Does he get a finders fee? Hahaha!
I'll take a signed picture of you and Munson...I know you must have one.
Just post it so we can all print it out.
Another really great tribute to the beloved one of a kind voice of the Georgia Bulldogs radio network Larry Munson!!!
GO DAWGS!!!
PS - We love you Larry! You are forever in our hearts and missed too!!!
I don't ride down a dirt road in the fall without remembering that voice. I do this thing in my head with Larry calling the game and Lewis Gizzard making wise cracks... Yeah I know I have issues.
Yeah, and Coach Erk looking on, blood on his forehead, and smoking a cigar in satisfaction!
@how2fish we all do sir. We all do. Those of us who are all still here on this earth, and who are all also together of a certain age that is…. GO DAWGS!!!
Anyone remember when Munson started calling UGA basketball games on radio in the mid-1980s? He used a lot of football-like expressions such as “and we ROLL him out of bounds in the corner!” It wasn’t a long run but memorable nonetheless.
I graduated and moved to Columbia SC in 1986 and could pickup an Augusta AM radio station that carried UGA football and basketball broadcasts. This was before USC joined the SEC and the internet, so following the Dawgs was hard, as even the local newspaper had scant coverage of anything not Clemson or USC.
Relative to Munson calling basketball games, that was about the time the 3-point shot came to college basketball, and he often would call it a “3-footer” instead of “3-pointer.” It was all very new to everyone so even the terminology was a bit confusing to listeners and announcers!
Well said!! 🤣😎
Go Dawgs!!
Couldn't have said it better myself.
Precisely why I decided not to say it!!
That you left it unwritten goes without saying.
