Best way to see The Dawg's while in Michigan
In September, my wife and I go back to her home to care for her mom. I'll be there most of the month and I don't want to miss a game. Any suggestions on streaming on my lap top?

If you’re near a major city, I’d say find an alumni gamewatching site. It’s a good time and good camaraderie!
Greek, I just cut the cord and I've been researching this question. I've found a great cable replacement with an antenna in the attic and FrndlyTV for streaming, but CFB is the missing piece of the picture for my interests. I thought you could just stream ESPN directly, but I don't think you can do that right now in the US. That could change, but right now you have to subscribe to a service provider. If you have ESPN via cable or another provider, most will let you stream it on the road. You need to figure out how to do that through your provider before you hit the road for Michigan. There are also a lot of options for cord cutters, which you could use temporarily, from GoogleTV to Hulu and others.
On most of the plans, you could do one month and then cancel. (Just make sure you can cancel after a month before giving them your CC). Many of them offer an opening discount, so that would work perfectly. Most charge taxes.
The cheapest way to do it looks like SlingTV to me. They offer an "Orange" package that is sports oriented. They give half price for one month, so it would be $20 bucks for the ESPN channels and then you would have to add the SEC and the other conference channels for about $11. After taxes you are probably looking at around $35 for your month of streaming. Specifically for CFB fans, they offer a season package for $199 (taxes extra) with all of that, but that gives you five months of service. For my situation I will get Frndly programming, CFB via Sling, and the local channels though an attic antenna for about $300/yr, a savings of about $150/mo. over my Comcast price (doesn't factor internet cost).
You can research it and put in the zip codes you will be in to see what your service will be, and don't forget it only works in the US (without a VPN). I think that is one device only, so you could watch on your iPad, iphone, Android, smart TV, etc., but not on two devices at the same time. Warning: this info is from research not experience, so caveat emptor on all of it!!
I have heard Sling can get a bit spotty and drag a little during popular games so beware. Some have said paying extra for yourubetv or Hulu live tv is worth the extra $ for that reason only

If there for nearly month I would go with youtubetv. You can definitely watch anywhere you have wifi on any device with no issues.
Given our schedule we probably won’t have a ton of CBS 3:30 games. I would venture to say that almost all, if not ALL, games will be on ESPN, SECN, or SECN+.
If you confirm that Sept. is all ESPN, then it’s real easy. I have the Disney+ bundle which gives me ESPN+ (covers all ESPN.)
It’s more complicated if we’re on multiple networks, but knowing our September schedule I don’t think we’ll be picked up outside of ESPN.
Edit: looks like the SCAR game will be a CBS 3:30 game. Ugh. Can stream that one illegally (streameast) or just follow advice above. OR Could try a 7-day free trial of some service for this one weekend if need be.
matt, if you look at the FAQs they tell you that not all ESPN games are available on ESPN+. I think they don't broadcast some of the games on ESPN+.
