Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

John Isner retiring from tennis w/14K+ aces and 16 titles.
Two things...
...can you imagine trying to get a shot past him and his 6' 10" frame when he was at the net?
and
...if he were arriving on campus today, think CKS would approach him and say, "Hey big guy, ever hear of Darnell Washington?" ;^)
Thanks to him for repping the G outstandingly and best to him and his fam in the next stage.

Amen, and well done!
Thanks for the post of this DGD!
I think Mike White would call dibs on him
DGD…I have no proof of this but think he might be the all time leader in tie breakers. He hardly ever lost a serve and tended to not break many either. His matches were always entertaining too. He was a force and would’ve thought he could’ve kept it going on the doubles side for a while with his net presence and serving!!
He sure was easy to spot in the bar back in the day. Wonder how many times fratstars asked if he played basketball.
He was always smiling, good dude.
Cool post, thanks! I remember enjoying UGA tennis in the 80s, watching Mikael Pernfors make those tall guys look silly at the net with his passing shots and topspin lobs.
I also remember Allen Miller from my high school winning the NCAA doubles title. Team Tennis was way fun to watch with 6 matches going on simultaneously!
Woof woof woof 🐶
@TurkDawg - there were a number of good players on that high school team with Allen. One of the few times yelling "HHS is the best" was legit.
Or Kirby would try to put 40-50 pounds on him. 🙂
🤣🤣🤣😎👍!!
