DeJong gave them the ultimate complement. "Their Best Players Play Everday."
What a night for Ronald Acuna. Four for five with 5 rbi's and 2 stolen bases in a 14-4 rout of the Rockies.
The game included two fans rushing the field in the seventh inning. One gave Ronald a hug and the other fan inadvertently bumped into Ronald knocking him to the ground. Apparently, no ill intentions, but still a scary situation.
Big weekend series with the Dodgers starting Thursday night.
Cooler weather on the way. College Football starting. Braves playing well with bigger games on deck.
Best time of the year is coming boys.
Yessir!!! Simply otherworldly!!!! GO BRAVES!!!
Ozuna and Arcia just hit the the 249th and 250th home runs of the season in the top of the sixth setting an all time Atlanta Braves HR single season record eclipsing the 2019 Braves record…..and there is still a month left in the season!!!!
Outstanding!
Go Braves!!!
and yet another promising start from a rookie call-up. I just love the fact that one can't tell who in the lineup is going to go off on any given night.
GO BRAVES!!!
Tough matchup tonight against the Dodgers at their place. Our best pitcher Strider against Lance Lynn for the Dodgers who they acquired from the White Sox. Started 5 games for the Dodgers with an ERA just over 2.0, but 5.56 for the season. And 6 hrs since coming over from the White Sox. 34 for the season.
Probably the weakest starting pitcher on the Dodgers staff. I like our chances.
A real test for the Bravos - it's like a playoff series. Interesting to see how our bats hold up vs their excellent pitching.
Braves get 7 home runs on 4 games, split series, leave LA with best record in baseball.
Max with a masterpiece last night!
Seven shutout innings with 10 strikeouts!
Morton tonight….let’s keep it going!
Go Braves!
Nice to see the Braves' energy at the end of a long road trip. They are just rippin' and runnin' out there. Acuna Jr showing Betts how it is done.
@Bdw3184 Yeah. I didn't see the game but it looked like Fried had several hitters fooled with the way his pitches dropped out of the strike zone. And what an arsenal of pitches: fast ball, change-up, sinker, slider, curve and sweeper. Did I miss any?
Not up to speed with our pitching staff. Who's hurt, who's been hurt.
But I assume that Fried is the one who was out for an extended period of time. 6-1 with a 2.52 era. With more starts, a 2.52 era would probably get you into the top-five in the league.
Three Braves pitchers are in the top-ten for earned runs avg: Morton, Elder, and Strider.
And yes, with more starts, Fried would have the official lead in ERA. at 2.52 eclipsing San Diego's Blake Snell at 2.60 with 27 starts.
Julio Urias of the Dodgers arrested for domestic violence….
Lose to the Braves…. Go home and beat your spouse….
I get it!
not taking that lightly, of course….
Sarcasm is a beautiful thing sometimes.
Soroka just doesn't have it anymore. A real shame too he seemed to have the goods before all the injuries.
Not sure what his issues are. I think it may be command - his pitches seem to move but he's making hittable pitches. I think by next year we'll have a better read on him. He could be a great # 4 or # 5 guy if he gets "it" back.
Kid can't catch a break. Now he has numbness in his throwing fingers. Likely done for the year. What a sad saga he has had to endure.
