Yeah, IF a frog had wings he wouldn't bump his ass.
Yadda yadda. And UGA probably would've had better offensive performance if Darnell Washington hadn't been knocked out of the game in the first half. Woulda, shoulda, coulda.
Sure they could, they also could have won without him, but they didn’t. Story over and their dream crushed!
Mike, tell us again why are you with Dawgnation?
Who cares what the AD says- what do you expect? The AD said couldve not would've and that's his opinion.
You care about UGA as much as a Georgia Tech or Big 10 (MSU) beat writer.
This is almost sad. TOS has realized that they don't have the right coach and that all of the stars had aligned just right, and they missed their chance.
Time to throw out this old underwear...
TCU could have won also if they hadn’t given up 65 points and had scored more than 7.
Actually, where OSU got screwed is when the committee made TCU a three seed figuring Michigan would have a cakewalk and an OSU upset of UGA would set up what the committee really wanted… Michigan and Ohio State for the national championship. The problem with the plan was UGA and TCU didn’t get the memo !
woulda coulda shoulda… Sore losers. No class… THE Ohio Choke University. Joke school and fans…
You are right. It looked like Harrison stepped out. But would the ref's have caught it? I don't think any ref's threw their flags on that. I was really surprised they reversed the targeting and BB's spot. They got both those calls right.
I think we are confusing great with big. They both can mean the same thing. When you said "greatest" I thought "most punishing". I was a great hit (game changing - breaking up TD). #22 made 1 of the 4 plays that UGA had to make to win the game. It wasn't a "big" (especially punishing hit). Guys sprint over and shoulder guys out of bounds during every football game. Saw a guy do it in the CO-CO St game last week. Caused a lacerated liver.
If '23 clock rules were used last year there is a very good chance there would not have been enough time to come back. "Prior to the rule change, officials stopped the clock on every first down awarded. Now, they’ll only stop the clock after a first down in the final two minutes of the half." There were a combined 16 1st downs in the 2nd half before the UGA TD w/54 secs. The clock stopped 16 times it would not stop this year under the new rules. Running clock certainly could have (like I said) meant 54 seconds of game clock would have run off in the 4th Q w/ no stopping on 1st down or out of bounds until the final 2 mins.
Based on the 1st 3 Q's of the game I think if UGA coulda played different ("approach") they woulda played different. Whatever CKS's "planned approach" was it wasn't working for 3Q's.
Isn’t it insulting to the other receivers to keep making these comments?
@SufferinginAtlanta Agree, insulting to everyone who played the game --- the UGA coaches who adjusted, the Ohio State players who WOULD have won if they made the FG or their coach not blew a third down play call and insulting to the fans
JUst cant afford to fall behind and expect to make a miracle comeback against a good team. THe new clock rules(which I abhor) just won'tallow for that. NOt saying it won't haopen from time to time, just way less often. MORe fans will start leaving games at the start of the 4th quarter if their team is up by more than14. Is that what college footballl wants?
The amazing thing about this ridiculous whining is that it was such an OBVIOUSLY CLEAN PLAY. That's why they reversed the call: It even met the standard of "indisputable evidence." N-o d-o-u-b-t.
A half-second earlier, it might have been interference; a half-second later, Harrison might have held onto it. If Bullard hadn't turned his body at the last split second, it may not have been reversed; if he hasn't slammed into him so hard and so high, Harrison might have held onto it.
As the season wore on, Bullock went from being a good DB to becoming one of the very best in college football. The play required initiative, speed, strength, great body control and the intelligence to avoid targeting.
This constant whining by the OSU leadership (not just the fans!) unfairly casts a clean player as a villain -- all to excuse their failure yet again to win a championship to their deep-pocketed alumni.
If they think the rules are too rough for their players, maybe they should make fencing or women's golf into their marquis program.
