Despite not having a team in the College Football Playoff, Georgia fans had plenty of eyes on the Rose Bowl battle between Michigan and Alabama.

Almost as much fun as watching Georgia win. Since we were robbed of the real thing, I'll take the next best.
Couldn’t have happened to a more deserving team. I felt JC Latham’s prediction of a national championship for Alabama at SEC media days was both arrogant and disrespectful. While I despise Michigan, in this instance they were useful, albeit cheating, idiots.
Bama should have lost to Auburn. Should not have played in the SEC championship.
I was rooting for Bama. Harbaugh is a weirdio and a cheater. Bama played the Michigan game like we played them. The offense looked anemic. That's why they play em I guess.

This isn’t whining like that team we beat in Indy about not having their top receivers. No this is based on facts from the sec title game and do-called prominent experts. Georgia was robbed in the sec title game by the refs with the ball on the ground and play not stopped to review it and a blatant missed call on a horse collar that wasn’t.
Georgia would have been favored over Washington, Texas and Michigan, which we would have played next week. If we hadn’t been cheated, we would have played fsu tonight and beat them with their starters by 3 TDs. Texas wouldn’t have gotten in. We would have destroyed Washington if they had gotten by Michigan.
Why couldn’t that team to the west have played like that a month ago?
Like some posts above, we finished with a better record than them, but it wouldn’t surprise me if the stay at 4 and us at 5.
Go Dawgs! THE best team in college football this year! We won’t 3-peat but we can shoot for 3 out of 4!
Their luck just ran out this time and they used all the money on the refs in the SECCG, lol. I believe Georgia would have beaten Michigan and won another Championship. Still, glad to see some upset Alabama fans like a couple of my siblings I texted after the game, lol. Just having some fun like always. Go Dawgs!!
It wasn't pretty, but it was a great game. And anytime Bama loses it is a day for celebration!

Neither team deserves to win, but Alabama deserves even less. Hate to see them always get refs help to beat us. Happy to see them lose. Why refs always want them to win?
Exactly what I wanted to happen. I am so sick of alabama and laughed when they called that ridiculous last play.
Now they are out, all we need is the cheating by michigan to cause all wins to be vacated.
I went over to one of Bama’s primary forums and believe it or not Some Bama fans were saying that the Dawgs would have beat MI !! And a couple even went past that and said UGA was the best team in CFB !! BUT those people were a tiny minority and were quickly and strongly chastised by the rest for making comments like that !!!
One or two said in a sympathetic way that Bama had cost the Dawgs a opportunity to 3Peat !!! BUT they to were quickly and strongly chastised !! And Some said that denying the Dawgs a 3Peat was a bit of a healing salve for their loss to MI !!! So I guess that segment would Rather see MI win the Natty ??
Lastly it looks to me that the vast majority despise TX and wish them the worse !! I think I saw only One say he hopes TX wins the Natty. And a few want the Huskies to win it. Oh and I was rather shocked by this, quite a few were saying it Might be time for Saban to consider retiring !! Go Dawgs !!!
Alabama still would have played in the SEC Championship if they lost to Auburn.
I know one thing there will be millions of people out there just overwhelmed with happiness that an SEC team won’t be in the Natty. People of other conference teams are sick of seeing SEC teams win. So Strictly and I Mean Strictly from That standpoint I’m glad it’s Bama that fumbled away the opportunity for an SEC team to be in it and not our Dawgs !!
Our Dawgs went out in style having won the Orange Bowl by the largest margin of victory for Any Bowl by Any team. I think most rational people Know in their hearts that the Dawgs should have been in that top four. But the Committee got what it wanted.
Doesn't matter. The Washington vs Michigan match up....was predetermined by the people that controlled the CFP. They had to leave UGA "out" to make it happen.
It's hard to cheat your way out of a "blowout". To manipulate a game...the two teams have to be evenly matched.
With UGA in the CFP....that was never gonna happen. That's why they were "Pencil Whipped" out of the playoff.
So that way ...the referees were able manipulate the game against 4 evenly matched teams.
I'm losing interest in CFB fast. If not for UGA being what they are...I probably eouldn't even watch.
It's becoming a sophisticated version of 1960's wrestling.
Watch how the officials handle this replay. It'll tell you which team they are assigned to push to the winners circle.
Wow. Thought Washington might blow it. While I don’t acknowledge Washington’s co-opting of “Dawgs”, I have to admit that considering my disdain for Michigan, I’d happily settle for a Washington win in the natty and a Dawgs mascot 3-peat. They’ll probably lose, but again, at least Alabama won’t win it.

The Natty couldn't have been manipulated like it has been....with a healthy, dominant UGA Team driving the bus....so they eliminated em with hype and litigation.
This ain't no Championship, in my book. The CFP has a PR problem, now. Nobody trusts em to handle ANY playoff format that requires a "judgment call".
I think it was ole Abe Lincoln that said..."Once you lose a man's trust, it may NEVER be regained.". Or, something to that effect.
