Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Incredibly sad and infuriating. 😡Swift capital punishment is deserved. He should face the same fate he caused
Such a tragedy, I’m so sorry to hear about your daughter being close to the victim. One can just pray good comes out of this in the end.
His brother was also arrested for having a fake green card. Both have criminal histories.
The alleged perp, Ibarra, was an illegal from Venezuela. Came across the southern border at El Paso in 2022. Was detained and released on parole. Got a girl pregnant to help her asylum cause, went to NYC where he was arrested for at least one crime, was immediately released and made it to the sanctuary city of Athens, GA where he murdered Laken Riley. A former Georgia Asst DA, not from Athens, was interviewed on TV regarding the murder and mentioned that Athens' DA was soft on crime and he was concerned how the case would be prosecuted.
Please keep the political opinions out of this thread. Thanks in advance.
amen!!
The question I have is whether we are suppressing facts under the guise of avoiding political discussions?
Sir this is a message board for college sports. If you need to talk about the facts of this case (most are referring to the brother, which I don’t think have any bearing on it) you should take that discussion to another medium.
If someone is commenting with info pertinent to this issue, have at it and leave your politics out of it. Otherwise said comment will be moderated.
thanks again.
You may have read the comment after it was "edited"
Very possible! I just logged on, and I was talking about what I read at that time. I saw facts, not political discussion. Maybe that was an edited version and Kasey's comments seemed like an overreaction due to the edit.
I’ve been editing a bunch the last few days. I figured a reminder would help. Some people can’t help themselves.
This sounds very political to me?
What part?
”some people just can’t help themselves” is very condescending and elitist. You’re better than that.
Well, some people can’t. It’s par for the course with some people on this site. No matter how many reminders we don’t do politics here, they still go there.
I didn’t mean it to sound elitist or condescending.
