- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

That is actually very helpful. Thanks. Might have to try getting out of bed and reading for a bit instead of laying awake for 2+ hours stressing about not sleeping.
My wife sleeps like a rock. It's crazy. Out cold within 2 minutes of lights out and doesn't budge till like 7am.
I hear you had a Secret (GS/Navy 16 years) until I retired in Dec. 22. Had to wait it out. Try Ambein CR, if you cannot tolerate that try the Lunesta. Had the same problem bedtime 2130 wide awake at 0230/0300.....
I’m 3 years into cpap, down 40 pounds (13% BF so not Olympic but leaner), TRT, 16/8 IF, Hypertension controlled with diet and meds, gym 5 days/week, yada yada. 46. If I drink I wake up middle night. If I don’t I don’t.
part of aging and work stress but alcohol is the biggest factor in me waking up at night. I have done everything but exercise and clean living seem to be the best. Losing weight helped me snore less and feel like I am not as tired when I do wake up.
Was going to ask if you had a sleep study. Sounds like you have.
CPAP machine made all the difference for me. I rarely if ever wake up unless its storming and the dog jumps in bed.
You’re just old. You need less sleep as you age
Yeah, had a sleep study back in the Marines. The CPAP helps a lot, but I'm wondering if maybe I need to have another study done just to see if my machine might need an adjustment. The settings haven't changed in like 13 years.
That's what I'm afraid of...but at 54 I'm not THAT old.
I'll be 54 this Sunday (St. Patrick's Day).
I work late most nights (midnight at least) and up at 6 to take our youngest daughter to school.
Reading the Gospel of St. John (particularly chapters 14-17) relaxes me like nothing else.
If you don't want to read it, there's a good version of either Alexander Scourby or James Earl Jones reading it on YouTube.
Either way, I hope you get relief! Lack of sleep is awful!
My wife got a CPAP machine and it made a huge difference...her body was starved for oxygen.
My CPAP has done wonders for my apnea, but this is something different. Back before I had the CPAP I'd wake up 5-6 times a night (sometimes more), but would always go back to sleep. Now I wake up once at 3am and can't go back to sleep.
Time for a new Sleep Study, my pressure was adjusted down after my new one. Waited about 20 years to get re tested.
We should all be getting up at 4 am anyways most productive time of the day
#nonissue. Haha. Welcome back, Yale.
Ha first time I’ve had a spare minute in a while
Sounds like you need to wake up earlier...

At what age does "old" begin?
Debatable. Man I turn 47 this year and I'm fighting all the same stuff.
