Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

My CPAP has done wonders for my apnea, but this is something different. Back before I had the CPAP I'd wake up 5-6 times a night (sometimes more), but would always go back to sleep. Now I wake up once at 3am and can't go back to sleep.
Time for a new Sleep Study, my pressure was adjusted down after my new one. Waited about 20 years to get re tested.
We should all be getting up at 4 am anyways most productive time of the day
#nonissue. Haha. Welcome back, Yale.
Ha first time I’ve had a spare minute in a while
Sounds like you need to wake up earlier...

At what age does "old" begin?
Debatable. Man I turn 47 this year and I'm fighting all the same stuff.
Back years ago when I was 46 walking behind some co workers at the VA (all over 50) they were talking about the same thing and the consensus was 50, and once I reached that age I agree with them......
I used to think that 80 was old...but now that I've reached 80, I'm recalculating.
Falling asleep and staying asleep are two different things, as you've discovered. A change in either deserves a medical check, but be prepared for a canned discussion about going to sleep at the same time, blue light etc. Melatonin can be helpful, but in your situation something that's dispersed over time (like Sleep 3) will be more useful. Any of it can leave me foggy the next day, but it's the perfect solution for one family member. Thunderstorm audio, something a bit boring and technical to read, or playing chess helps me turn off the doom-grams that want to race thru my mind.
Congrats on reaching 4 score! Moses didn't even get started on his real career until he was 80.
Alcohol is a sleep killer. A few drinks might help you pass out but it has severe effects on sleep quality. It’s possible your 3am wake up is your body snapping to after processing all the alcohol out of your system.
try and do some stress management as well whether it be therapy yoga meds etc.
it’s a battle man. We’re all in it together! If you find a simple solution please share with the group! I’d kill to sleep like I did as a teenager
