Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

congrats to you and Chistopherules. Bravo!!
Then one day I somehow made up my mind that I was DONE.
This was my experience as well. I tried to quit many times. But it never took. Being honest those other times I just wasn't ready in my mind. When I actually did quit somehow I knew I was done for good.
As you guys know I can be quite stubborn and I just knew in that moment that part of my brain had activated. There was no chance I would ever pick up another one. Zero.

Nah. You're kidding, right?
We quit drinking about 4 years ago. Seemed like it promoted late night eating and contrary to losing weight. And about 3 years ago, quit smoking (not cigarettes). And unlike Bill Clinton, we inhaled. A lot.
But one day we just decided to quit. And we did.
We're both retired, but had other hobbies or interests including golf, exercise membership, and cooking, to name a few.
For our situation, I would say it was spontaneity and determination.
Edit: And quit cigarettes in 1975.
.
MB - man, you are a quitter, for sure. And that's a good thing in my mind.
I believe God will have a word with that Man guy some day.
Sometimes around here reason and DV's are strangers…knew a guy that got DV'd for saying he liked Stetson Bennett ….😁
