Idunno about any of the Vegas commentary. I’m not a betting man, and don’t claim to get all the ins and outs, but the way I understand it, a TX loss = a Vegas win, because all that money being bet against the dogs just goes straight to the coffers, and not paid back out (and then some)!to the bettors.
There are so many calls the office needs to explain. I would like an explanation and not an excuse designed to cover up a complete dumpster fire of ref performance. How about the 2 calls they even had the booth help with - the Etienne TD and then the first down. These were so clear that even Kirk Idiotstreit and his waste of air partner called them out. This was the worst officiating performance I can recall. Clowns like these are why people are in favor of technology playing a much bigger role.
Love the resilience and composure the DAWGS showed and as always, Go DAWGS.
So, years of putting up with Alabama-biased refs from Birmingham, we now have to suffer through Texas-biased refs from Dallas. Matt Loeffler, last night's referee is President of RCL Sales in Rockwall, TX. outside of Dallas Another part-time referee f'ing up big time games in the SEC with their bias. Not only did he allow the review of an unreviewable call, he failed to call an OPI on Texas for their fans' disruption of play. This guy is in the very competitive building supply business in Dallas and subject to influence by customers who are big UT fans and boosters. These refs should be recused from calling these games.
While I have your attention, this targeting BS needs to end. A runner can shift their position, which they do often and quickly, changing a shoulder tackle into a leading with the crown tackle. As the tackler goes low for the shoulder tackle, he loses sight of the runner and cannot adjust to the runner's shift in position.
So , it's ok to overturn a call on a 2nd ref circle jerk when the zebras had already had a gathering to discuss the play? Tried to give Texas help, and the littlehorns still couldn't win.. Texas fans showed their true classless colors by trashing their own field. Everything is bigger in Texas, even the clowns..
What a remarkable statement by the SEC office. Should I trust them or my lying eyes?

I'm glad the officials got the no call correct in the end. There was no defensive pass interference. However, the way they got to that final no call was wrong. The officiating crew should be reprimanded for it, and UT should be fined for the actions of the fans.
Can’t you see what is going on . They can’t get to the players especially in the pros but look at all the calls every week that are supposedly blown . The refs are bought off with no accountability . It’s been going on for years but now with all the betting sites it’s just worse . It’s so bad I thought Gordon Solie was the announcer last night .
Ref's should be fired-This was an attempted robbery and exemplifies the tenacity the Dawgs demonstrate when faced with adversity. I have not been this mad at ref's since the championship game against Bama.
I didn't disagree with the call. The DB didn't interfere with Arian. And I'm actually glad that the win won't come with an asterisk.
But it does seem bad practice to reverse a call when the officials only had time to discuss it because Texas fans were throwing bottles onto the field. Seems bad precedent to basically (if indirectly) reward a team for fans throwing stuff onto the field.
Exactly! You all saw the national outrage when Coach Kirby accidentally pushed the Miss State QB…..even Sankey himself joined in with the crowd saying he should have been penalized….
How magnanimous of the SEC office that they are “reviewing “ the “crowd participation in last night’s game “….
Their action should never have been allowed to change the outcome of a game call….especially after the call had been announced… conversation to review that call should only have taken place before they announced it, not after (when given the opportunity by a fan caused “disturbance “) as many here have already said!
The SEC lost a little bit of its luster after last night…

Running backs have long been taught to lower their head and try to run over a tackler at the point of impact. If you note the ball carrier in this play did just this. The crown of his helmet hit the Georgia player in the shoulder pads at the same time our guy's helmet struck the Texas back's shoulder pads. Why was the back not called for targeting.
The second thing…..
Thers seems to be a problem with officiating in all sports at all levels.
