CKS could use Beck's uncertainty to keep everyone guessing. Just sayin.
Go Dawgs!
Give me Kirby Smart with 3-weeks to prepare, against anybody, any day.
I don't think Notre Dame has a chance.
Under appreciated Kirby and his Dawgs once again. Nothing new here. Very good resume' of all things Dawgs, Mike.
Your best article yet!
Dadgum Mike….Let me sum up your article with one word:
BOOM! (mic drop)
Get back honky cat!
The game probably comes down to a few things. Stockton is the key but I'll get to that.
How healthy will UGA be? Are guys that can be difference makers ready to play at a high level and make a difference? OL back 100%? RRod and BRod ready to take a few effective carries each? Are CMiller and JHall healthy enough to get game reps and make a difference?
Will coaching have the team prepared and ready? Will UGA start slow again? Having the D ready to stonewall the run from the opening snap and starting faster on O now becomes very important.
UGA has been effective over the years playing bully ball and wearing down defenses in the 2nd half. But Bobo sacrificing 1st half scoring opportunities by consistently running small RB's between the tackles seems contrary to trying to put points up early. Part of this may be CBeck's lack of success with the long ball. Does GS have a better touch on the long ball? How early in the game does GS test the D w/a long ball?
You know, having a new, running QB may help UGA start faster. No doubt that GS plays at a higher emotional level than CBeck does. Does that bring some life to the UGA team? How ready is GS? Can he play w/o turning the ball over? Can he hit his throws? Keep his adrenaline level manageable, settle into a rhythm and execute at a consistent, high level? GS playing mistake free? Gotta have it.
Well, since you wrote this Mike Griffith, pick up your keyboard and DROP IT!!! Slowly walk away with no need whatsoever to look back at your masterpiece!!!!
Mike for the win.
Well, ….. I’m done reading dawgnation because they are all downhill from here because this article has got to be the best I’ve read in terms of expressing how us fans all feel and see.
Tip of the hat sir, well done
Mike, Probably one of your better articles ever.
Go Dawgs! Beat everyone!
I once thought Rece Davis knew a little something about football and the SEC….Mike, you owe it to ole Rece to send him your post…..maybe he can extract his head from The Mighty Virgins backside long enough to read and learn a little something….or Dawg Nation can remind him of his obvious error after the game…..that is IF they can beat The Hoosiers.
@MikeGriffith Whoa !!! Way to go Mike !!! You tore it up Man !! That was an Excellent read !! Go Dawgs !! Go Gunner !!
Just my opinion but I don’t think ND is a better team than TX. We entered that game facing them a Second time which should have been just as beneficial to them as us.
Dawgs had Allot of injuries going in. Yeah had to got to OT but the beat up and battered Dawgs got it done. First regulation TD was with Gunner under center. Of Course he had help but so did Beck with no TD.
Also in last years bowl game Gunner did really well against FSU who Still Had allot of their Defensive players. Now the Dawgs will go in with all this rest time and preparation time.
Lastly take a serious look at NDs schedule, a load of cupcakes, and they Lost to one of those !! Course Assuming it’s ND we end up playing. I’m Believing Gunner and the Dawgs will be ready. And I’m sure Kirby will tell them repeatedly that they are seen as the underdogs. Just my take………
In post game when being interviewed Kirby said that the INT from Gunner was on the Coaches. Said they weren’t on the same page with Gunner thus the INT.
Now you're cooking with gas, Mike.
Go, Dawgs!
