Some players may not have been as talented, or performed as well as others. But there were no quitters on this team that took the field each week..a team full of fighters..GoDAWGS!

I am waiting to see how this all shakes out as off season deepens. I suspect there will be a new UGA team and maybe staff look next spring. Some coaching moves and a whole lot of player faces we have not yet seen. Smart is a loyalist to friends. Who knows how he will handle the poor offensive showing? I am not speculating. Georgia may go through a substantial transformation. Maybe not. If he truly is about winning, and he is, he will make the necessary adjustments to make it happen. He is no rookie. Coach Smart is an excellent leader and coach. I am anxious to see 2025 unfold as he plans his next moves.

you’re wrong about Smart, if he was about winning and not loyalty, he would have put fields in over Fromm when our offense was struggling. He would have put in different WRs that could catch instead of keeping Smith and Bell out there with the same result, he would have benched Beck for a game during his multi-game INTs for a few weeks to get his head right. Smarts one flaw (and I’ve said this for years now) he is loyal to a default and will never reach Sabans level if he can’t stop being buddy buddy and make the hard decisions

Generally fair points, but "Georgia can no longer just beat up lesser teams in the SEC East and waltz into the SECCG" is kind of a odd remark in a year when Georgia won the SEC without going through a division.

Yeah you know how it is with those multiple national title coaches who set record win streaks - winning just isn't all that important to them.

And please tell me you don't honestly believe that Saban would have built that dynasty if NIL and the portal had come among a decade earlier?

I have to admit that the lack of any commitments from the transfer portal is concerning. Especially after some of the disappointments on national signing day. Still plenty of time, but would like to see some additions before spring practice.

This is actually a pretty fair assessment in my view.

I'll be interested to watch for the decisions these draft eligible guys make. The only ones I see with a high degree of certainty declaring are the four defensive guys - Walker, Starks, Williams and Everette. Mayve Thorson will to, as he's certainly got the performance to get drafted. Don't know if the offensive guys do; maybe Ratledge and Wilson. I certainly think the skill guys need more work before being ready for the league. I could see Bell and Smith transferring as they may get passed by younger guys or anyone we may get out of the portal, especially if we can land the USC guys. I actually hope Young is cleared and stays; I think he never really had much chance to show just what he's capable of doing. Etienne has a tough choice to make; RBs generally have such a short career in the league, I'm usually in favor of them getting what they can before they age out. But with his injury history and hot/cold performance this year, teams may be hesitant to take him this year.
