just had a sleep study…I'm tired all the time.
My sleep study showed severe sleep apnea.
The worst part is it says I'm getting almost no REM sleep. Need to talk to the doctor, but that's based on my initial read of the report.
alright so fellas above 45 if your wife says you snore really loud and you are extremely tired throughout the day even when you first wake up you need to make a doctors appointment and get a sleep test scheduled.
A CPAP will change your life. Sounds like you need one.
Also, if you get up to go pee several times a night, that is also a sign. I used to wake up probably 4 times every night to pee.
25th Year on cpap. Last year got new study new machine and a lower pressure
I've been wondering if maybe I need a new sleep study and have my machine adjusted…
it changed my wife’s life! Our doctor looked at her swollen feet and told her to get a sleep study.
Her oxygen level was so low, they actually told her it was a miracle she was alive!
I don’t have an oxygen deprivation problem, but I’m tired all the time and I wake up frequently with headaches…I’ve read that a lack of quality sleep can do that.
My wife has also been taking Zepbound for 6 months. It’s amazing how much weight she’s lost and Zepbound has been approved for sleep apnea.
I’m hoping they’ll put me on it too!
My Masters thesis was on sleep deprivation. It is very surprising what a lack of sleep can do to a person.
I sleep on average 6 hours a night, but I must not be getting much REM sleep according to the study. I hope the folks at Emory can figure it out!
If you have apnea, then what's happening is you are unconscious for 6 hours, but every time you enter deep REM sleep your body stops breathing…which causes you to partially wakeup…but not awake enough that you realize it. So you think you were sleeping for 6 hours but in reality you never got that deep rejuvenating sleep.
That's really interesting! Am I right in saying that not getting the REM sleep helps explain why I wake up with headaches?
Like I said, when I read the sleep study, it made perfect sense why I'm so tired.
Got an appointment for Thursday to discuss the results.
I've been taking blood pressure meds for nearly 10 years, and I wonder if at least some of the high blood pressure is due to my sleep issues as well.
Yep…all of that, and memory loss, loss of focus, anger, learning disability, wild mood swings, depression, blurred vision,…
Quality sleep can fix a lot of problems.
