Your headline says 2023 class. Can you, just once, write an article that doesn't have a major typo?

So getting an elite OT in this class is a major need. Putting him with Jaun Gaston is another major, major need we need to address. I need some nasty hoglolies back here at UGA.

Don't want to jinx anything with freaking NIL nowadays, but think we may get them both—Thoughts?

We need to sign this young man! It would change the whole feeling of the class. I'm so glad he's coming back to Athens—-I could just £@$% in my drawers!! I know Kirby and the other coaches will give him the Royal treatment. GO DAWGS

  • hope we can land him. Hope this trip isn’t a way to jack up his asking price

I'm thinking that Jackson is a smart guy with his attention focused on tomorrow's NFL draft…..he's been blessed with the physical attributes to be a NFL First Rounder but he needs a developmental resume….3 years of growth and development in the most physically demanding football program in America and against the toughest competition in college football….The Ducks will pad his wallet with NIL wealth in a cold rainy cupcake conference….Miami will be less NIL but a great tan, chicks and weak sisters every week….I see Jackson in Red & Black….as for Curtis, not so much hope….I see Bowe Bentley as the "Georgia Guy".

My 1st thought was that UGA up'd its offer so he is coming back for the details. But you may be right.

Yup. Exactly what I thought. If UGA don’t pay, they don’t play. I hate the new college football.

The single biggest, historical obstacle to the UGA football program achieving success was removed in '23 when Nick Saban retired. However that timing coincided with a a new obstacle being introduced in CFB. Pay for play.

UGA's new biggest obstacle is its own sanity when dealing with pay for play situations. There are 1 or 2 teams (OSU, OR) where sanity does not rule and bottomless pockets apparently exist.

OSU is clearly in the buy championships at any cost mode. OR seems to be following in OSU footsteps.

OSU just bought Beau Atkinson and are a player in Cantwell's recruitment also. OSU consistently outbidding UGA for elite football prospects (Atkinson, CDowns, Air Noland, ZGrady, EHouston, JFields, etc) has put UGA behind a new primary adversary.

OSU is eating UGA's lunch. Developing inferior talents into respectable CFB players is starting to look like it won't be enough to compete for championships. Maybe this new salary cap discussion occurring in CFB will level the playing field. If it doesn't occur can any team be expected to beat OSU, OR and TX?

  • Cantwell’s top 3 is Miami, Oregon, and Georgia. Not sure what you are talking about with Ohio State.

Not sure how they bought a championship beyond spending big on their own guys to forgo the draft and come back for one last ride. They bought Downs. If there wasn’t a 12 team playoff they would’ve failed again.

Now all those guys that helped them win it all are about to be draft so of course they are going to overpay for Beau Atkinson. Once we took the kid from Army he became a luxury for us. He probably wants to fill up his stat sheet rather than set the edge and occasionally record a sack or TFL.
