Acuna to Acura! Darn spell check.
…and in other news,
The 31-year-old Fried has gotten off to an excellent start this season, going 4-0 with a 1.42 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 30 strikeouts in five starts and 31-2 innings.
sigh.
I like that the Braves have been getting back to their old tricks lately - late inning scoring. When they are going well, they often score some from the 7th inning on.
Wish the pen was more consistent. Also, the DC needs to sharpen their throwing in the infield.
Bravos conclude a 5-1 homestand with what is becoming a frequent late inning drive. The scored all their runs in the 7th and 8th innings. Bryce Elder finally earned some meal money with 6 innings of 1 run ball - a nice quality start. They are closing in on .500 - hope they can keep it up and that Spencer Strider can get back on the mound sooner than later. Braves' AB's are getting better - only 6 K's today and 5 on Tuesday and 6 on Moday. . Lots of positives.
Going into Arizona and maintaining the momentum was HUGE!!
Chris Sale finally off the schneid!
Gotta love what’s going on with these Braves!!!
They are up 2-1 in the 3rd. Holmes on the bump.
Yep! And two homers to boot!
Since “the slide” I believe they are leading in home runs hit!
Another late inning surge by the Bravos. 6 runs in the late innings. These guys are getting on a roll for sure!!
Eugenia Suarez for the Diamondbacks slugs four homeruns and we still win the game in 10. Taking the lead on a wild pitch no less. Crazy.
We've now moved out of last place in the NL East for the first time this season, a half game ahead of the Nationals. Let's keep it going Boys.
Yep! We’ve made up five of those first seven losses!
Gotta love it! By the end of the Rockies’ series, we could be above .500 for th first time those year!
Wonder what the talking heads are saying now!?
Not sure I am a “talking head” but as a lifetime Braves fan, I am glad they are winning! That said, I stand by my earlier criticisms of Snitker’s coaching style. There are times when you play “long ball” and times when you play “small ball” and a good manager knows when to employ them.
Can't figure out how in the world they have won so much with him at the helm, including a World Series. Even with an MVP out and a potential Cy Young winner out, he should be 21-7 or something like that, right? It's ok not to like his style of managing, but for crying out loud he's starting to win games with Eli White and Nick Allen as starting position players. Can't you cut him a little slack?
okay, but just a little.
a little is good. Now see if you can cheer them on vs a VERY tough RHP today!!
it's a LONG SEASON
