Commitment details set for 5-star QB Jared Curtis on May 5

Welcome to "Sentell's Intel" where Jeff Sentell not only provides you the latest recruiting information, he takes you into the homes of these students and what makes them special to the Georgia program.

Well, I'll say this for Mike Bobo - has put a lot of QB's into the NFL.
If our history with "5 star" QB's is any indication…..JF , Georgia guy that was anything but a DAWG, and Brock, a TRUE Georgia Guy developed for 3 years to play one year for Kentucky……….I'll keep the light on for "4 star" Bowe Bentley!
If I'm wrong about JC and he commits to The G on the 5th, I truly pray he "COMMITS" heart, soul and body and becomes that illusive "5 star" DGD Georgia Guy QB…..and on that I'll salute him with a Dos Equis!
if this was meant sarcastically it’s hilarious
Will be very curious to see what kind of $$ Curtis ends up pocketing wherever he ends up.
On a side note…Per Kirk Bohls of the Houston Chronicle, the Longhorns roster currently costs somewhere between $35 million and $40 million that includes money from the revenue-sharing allotment that is expected to be around $20.5 million plus payouts from the school's official NIL collective, the Texas One Fund.
Dawgs are spending half that…
If @JeffSentell is saying UGA has the momentum with Curtis, I'm pretty sure that means he's headed to Oregon. We never get the offensive players that we're supposedly "leading" with. Defense? Sure. But not the offensive players. And even if he declares for UGA on Monday, we'll still need to hang on until signing day in December. Sorry, after Raiola I don't trust the word of any of them.
Its all about the Benjamins…..I am hearing 2.5 million of them
so many insiders here!
It’d be great of Curtis becomes a Dawg he certainly has tons of potential !! Would be a great weapon to add to the arsenal !! But look at our own Gunner Stockton Senior year in HS:
As a senior in 2021, he led them to the state playoff quarterfinals again with a 12–2 record while throwing for 4,134 yards, 55 touchdowns and only one interception, being named All-State for the fourth time in his career and being named the Gatorade Georgia Player of the Year.
He set the state records in passing touchdowns, total passing and rushing touchdowns and combined passing and rushing yards.
Note that last sentence. Gunner is a Winner and with proper pass protection from the O Line he’ll help our Dawgs be Winners to !! Go Dawgs !! Career Totals:
He totaled 13,562 passing yards and 177 passing touchdowns at Rabun County while also running for 4,372 yards and 77 touchdowns in his career.
And our own Ryan Puglisi yet another great QB !! His senior year in HS:
As a senior, Puglisi threw for 1,858 yards and 15 touchdowns, while rushing for more than 350 yards and four touchdowns.
In addition, he competed in the finals of the 2023 Elite 11 quarterback competition.
Following his senior season, Puglisi was named the Gatorade Connecticut Football Player of the Year.
it would be great if we get him but that doesn’t mean much anymore- he could leave next year if things aren’t going his way- just the reality of the free agent era🤷♂️
This NIL thing is truly out of hand. @MontanaDawg says we're only spending half of what Texas is spending for NIL. Is there no form of equitable payouts that the NCAA uses? That means that college football is gonna become like professional baseball—where you have your NY Yankees and LA Dodgers who get all the Big A%$ superstars and there's everyone else. Just think—just a few years ago when you signed a young man, you provided him with room and board, coaching, medical expenses, books, meals, and a college degree. Now we're paying 18 year olds 3 million dollars a year to come play football at our University. ?????
Actually agreeing to pay them those insane figures before they even take a college snap, much less perform at even a moderate level, with no guarantee they won't leave whenever a better offer comes along. I can't stop watching Georgia football (yet), but the college "business" boggles my mind, and heart… and that's putting it kindly. Go Dawgs!
I agree wholeheartedly. Bowe Bentley has proven himself against a tough high school conference while Jared Curtis has played in a private school conference. And anyone named Bowe or Bo has history on their side.
I'll salute whomever they sign with a Jack Daniel's on the rocks.
In 1994 the NFL salary cap was $34,608,000. College football should not be paying "Student" athletes insane amounts of money and if they do the "Student" athletes should be signed to a contract that keeps them in place for a minimum of three years.
NIL will destroy college athletics in the end. Colleges will have to start cutting programs to make payroll. Football has long funded the entire sports programs for most colleges but with all the funds being funneled to pay greedy "Student" athletes who have no loyalty to anyone or anything but themselves even big colleges will be negatively impacted.
Personally, I would be focusing on Bowe Bentley. He’s played against high level competition in Texas.
